  1. Nice work Bob.
  2. some good info here
  3. The handle appears to be just a strap with some plastic tubing, should be easy to make/find.
  4. How did the "make it smooth" technique work out?was it just epoxy or FG and epoxy?
  5. Thanks Peter,John installed a new door for me and it looks great.
  6. Sorry to here that buddy,he was a good fishing dog.I'll miss him.
  7. Quick!Grab the 10WT with the seal pattern on it.
  8. Ah i get it now thanks for the pic.So not really a framed boat as you have bulkheads that are the frames so to speak and no frames where you'll stand. The chine board replaces the fillet so you can glue and screw the sides to the bottom.I suppose one could screw it all together with no glue flip it over and remove the strong back and see what you have.Mark out any changes then assemble the strong back back in and take it apart. Looking good.
  9. I'm a big guy so 36" at the floor is just too small.I've been in one for about an hour there was 3 of us just too tippy.Length is nice but for fly fishing you want wider.Your able to stand and walk around ,you can lean over the side to release your fish. As far as rivets go i had a 1448 Jon with an outboard jet that was riveted and it served me well for 10 years of hard river abuse.
  10. I need a new insulated one.Its 16X8.I'm also interested in side mount openers. Anybody here do garage doors? Also any experience with side mount or torsion drive openers? Thanks.

  12. I've been doing a little garage cleaning and have found some things that someone may want. i have a tool stand that came with my ridged power planer that i havent used.Theres legs that add on. a hand skeet thrower a force spray gun a little dusty but never used.
  13. Cool,looking forward too it.
  14. I looked around for some goodies and couldn't find anything worthy so I'll offer up my rowing skills for a day. You supply the boat and fisher people I'll row and bring flies tippet and some Zaya rum. Anytime is good.
  15. Awesome thanks.I'll pick it up or we could meet for a fish over the holidays if the weather cooperates.
  16. I'll take the fan Darrin if its still available.
  17. Yes i should have said that. When my sewer backs up it starts at the bsmt shower floor drain first thats why i suggested it. Tungsten;not a plumber just knows **** runs down hill.
  18. Call 311 its free.2 guys with a power snake will show up.Just clear the access to your drains
  19. About the same as November. Ha ha! I drive by the new weir on deerfoot and 17th and all i see is ice.So mac to carseland would be out my guess is Johnson's island is all ice. police to mac should be open all the way i would think you'll have to push the boat out on ice at Police and the same at Mac. If i were to float at this time of year and put in at Police i would stay in the boat until i got to the down stream side of the cotton wood golf course, thats about 1/4 the way time yourself then you'll no.The mansion run is about half way. Start early!
  20. Then tie one up and post a pic of it.
  21. The flows would be about the same as April so drift times are the same.So about 12 beers for each drift.Pending on ice of course so it could go up to 48 beers and a rescue from the fire dept.Either way bring lots of beer and an ice pick maybe 100' of rope a couple of blankets and a lighter don't forget the lighter. Hope this helps.
  22. Now a days the digital maximizer option on the Minnkotas is a must, big difference in battery life.So the Minnkota Traxxis is the one and the smallest is 45lb thrust. I have an older Endura 30lb ,it moved my toon around no problem it also moved a 1448 jon if it wasn't windy and if i just kept it on low and used it sparingly i could get a couple of days out of a group 27 battery. So if your only a day tripper and you only go short distances the Endura will do.If you like to go for multiple days on one battery and like to troll then the Traxxis is the one.
  23. How has this held up over the years?
  24. LOL! i'll have to buy 4 more rods i guess. flypod
