  1. You never cease to amaze me with how awesome your shots are man.... Super Sweet! Love the shot with the reel in the drift boat covered in hoppers! Drew
  2. Nice Action Shots!
  3. Yeah, after I wrote 30" I looked at it later and your probably right; More like 27-28". I was at wholesale 2 days ago and saw the measuring tapes, but all they had left was a little crappy plastic one for 7$! screw that. I think the thickness of the fish makes it seem bigger than it is. Brian, Your Bull looks exactly like mine, but i think mine had it's Cutty digested further. Sweet Bull though! I need to buy a better Camera, this 5 Megapixel crap isn't cutting it. I don't think it does justice to the fish or scenery with such a crappy camera. Thanks for the Comments guys. Drew
  4. ah ha! I think i know that lake! Looks like you had a good time. Drew
  5. Nice Bull man! your lucky he wasn't a few pounds heavier or you might be buying a new Rod..lol
  6. So i had a stretch of days off this week and spent most of the time on the water and camping in Southern Alberta. It was a great week all and all. Notched a few more milestones on the Belt: Got my wife to join in on the fishing and she slammed a few Cutties on the Dry Fly as well as a huge ass whitefish. Managed to FINALLY land a Bull trout, and not just 1 but 3!! I didn't get a pic of the first but it was about 26" and 6 lbs, the second was a dink and the Third was... well, it was huge. The 3rd Bull Probably measured at least 30" (guess) and weighed at least 10-12lbs. the Pictures speak for themselves, enjoy! I need to thank all the people on the board who have given me advice when fishing for Bulls, cause it worked! Big ass Bully: Can you see the tail of the Cutty in his mouth? seemed like he swallowed it whole! The Wife with a nice Cutt: She picked up casting like Bike riding, in about 10 minutes! Big Ass Whitefish: Trying to Self Portrait with a Big Cutt that is about to slip the grip.. ahhh Tight Lines all!
  7. In know that Bull! LOL
  8. I'm no expert, but I doubt people want to give up the name of there favorite Bully river and "Go to Fly". My $0.02
  9. They just want you to buy a new Can! I've never had a can of 5+ year old spray paint, WD40, or hairspray not work after long periods of time. But then again it is just a little more important than Hairspray! I'll keep mine for 1 year past expiry then buy a new Can.
  10. Nice Cutties and brookie man!
  11. It is a Chernobyl Ant pattern. Looks like a smaller Stone fly, and worked like a charm!
  12. Just a few randoms from this past week. It was hard to get a good picture of all the Caddis in the air, but it was hard not to breath them in (taken on the bow): A couple Cutties from today: And O Yeah! One of the Cutties I caught today got Mauled by a massive Bull Trout, the bull was probably ~25 + inches. I then proceeded to try and catch the Bull, but he wasn't interested in my offering... dammit. Drew
  13. Manage any fish despite the crappy weather?
  14. What kind of Hackle do you use for the body???
  15. When I was near the southland bridge a few days ago about 4 "teen" males were lighting fireworks from the bridge into the river and air. It was annoying as hell when all you hear is "weeeeeeeeee......... BANG!" But after they let 10 or so go, they almost blew themselves up when like 4 or 5 fireworks went off right beside them.... the whole time I was thinking "Idiots". Of course they were laughing hysterically at there near death experience, truly Darwinism at work.
  16. Doesn't putting fruit in a drink make it a cooler? so it can no longer be called beer! especially at 4% alc.
  17. Doubt it. But it shouldn't be too hard to find the closest dealer. Here is there closest dealer #: 1-800-284-2247 They are nice boats! a little pricey, but nice.
  18. Freakin nice fish man!
  19. I concur, Columbia river rainbows get huge. I know that river fishes amazing in Spring, but not to sure about mid summer (probably still amazing).
  20. But then you leave out Stauffer, Ram, Clearwater, Red Deer, Prairie Cr, Fallen Timber, Little Red, Bullshead, ...etc etc It's just way to hard to pick! I know I couldn't do it. Just move here man, and make life easy for yourself
  21. First off, I don't believe there is really any SUPER EASY fishing anywhere. I mean if you say you don't know the "first thing about fly selection, fishable water, leader length, or indicator rigging" then I would grab one of Jim Mclennan's Books, preferably "Trout streams of Alberta" link: http://www.mclennanflyfishing.com/ for starters. The book also has a lot of maps, access points, campgrounds, flies etc etc. I don't know of to many places where you can tie on whatever fly you want and catch 100 fish/ day. But trying some different water and techniques should get you into a fair amount of fish. It might also be a good idea to start off with a guided trip down the Bow just to get your feet wet. Just my 0.02 Good luck, Drew
  22. AWWWW. Bambi's Mom i gonna be pissed!
  23. Don't worry, I'm stuck indoors as well. What CRAP!
  24. Don't forget about mosquito's either. When you wet wade in the middle of Skeeter season the Muskol comes right off and you'll get eaten alive!
  25. Awesome fish guys! One hell of a brown!
