  1. Hey Guys, Have not been on here too much this summer, busy working far too much. I did have time however to adventure out to fortress lake to meet up with my fishing partner Dustin who was guiding at the time. Although the hike in is brutal the facilities are amazing and Bob and Karen who we spent the few days with were awesome! And made our trip what it was! And are both amazing fishermen, and fisherwomen hahaha The fishing there is amazing, with a plethora of trophy brook trout it was hard to wipe the smile off of all of our faces. Here is a little preview of the photos i took along the way. Enjoy Here is the bridge at the Athabasca Crossing, absolutely amazing Athabasca Crossing by bryce.parry, on Flickr Nice Brookie Big Brookie by bryce.parry, on Flickr Sunset on the lake. Absolutely beautiful. Sunset by bryce.parry, on Flickr Hope you guys enjoy and there is more to come Tightlines, Bryce
  2. Hey Wanny, As its been said cheaping out is the wrong way to go. As your price-point gets lower the quality of optics in the lens gets. If you stick with any Oakley Spherical Lens ( a spherical lens matches the curvature of your eye) you will be getting a 99% opticaly correct lens. My suggestion would be the A Frame for a smaller face and the Crowbar or Splice for a larger face. All 3 are helmet compatible and highly ventelated. As for tints it all depends where your riding. IMO the best all around lens from oakley is the VR28, but my choice is usualy a Black Iridium for high light, and a Pink Iridium or High Intensity Yellow for low light. The best option to get what you want is the Oakley Website so you can match the colour of frame to the lens you want. But head to a local shop first to try them on and see what you like! -Bryce Ps. Polarized goggles are very expensive and IMO not worth the money.
  3. Thanks a ton guys! Nice comments are always a confidence booster haahah. Good to see everyones having equally as much fun out there too! Also hope everyone is as excited as i am that the bow is FINALLY in runoff! seems like it took forever! Hopefully theres lots of these to come! See you guys out on the river! have fun out there! Thanks again for the comments! -bryce ps. Caught it on a red leech/bugger type thing i tied.
  4. Been a fairly productive week this week.. to say the least. Here are the photos: Taped out at 27" of brute force brown trout. And to add to my excitement this was the first time i have used a fly I tyed and caught a fish. For an amateur fly tyer, What a way to start. Framing that hook with the picture for sure. Also a good way to end a no-catch streak! Dustin had an Abundant number of fish, on dries and dropper. Here are the highlights of the week Hope everyones been havin as much fun as us!! -Bryce
