  1. Last time I had an issue with Smith glasses (my wife's pair) I was directed by Smith to go to a "Local Retailer" (Abominable) to send them in for me... The manager was less then impressed that Smith did this and was very rude (rightly so as I did not purchase them there and was not there to buy anything)... I guess chat with Smith and see what they suggest...
  2. Don, Will there be mandatory call out on VHF radios for this road? If so, do you know the frequency? P

  4. I guess we as "consumers" never win... Thanks for the heads up! P
  5. So Rick, Were you a creepy phone heavy breather in a previous life (or maybe even in your present life)? P P.S. Awesome footage!
  6. I'm getting a little fed up with Photobucket! Way too many pop-ups and then I have to log out then in again... I'll look at flicker after they lock me out!

Murray Don't cheap out. You get what you pay for! Over 5 years of over 30 days walk and wade plus drift fishing on a pair of Simms G4Z. Only pin hole repairs. I've owned both Redingtons and (Older) Patagonias and I've had better longevity out of the Simms. Deb has had great life out of her Patagonias (but not as much wear out of them as I have had with mine). I also have a pair of the Simms Freestone pants. Definitely NOT the same quality of their "Made in the USA" goretex models!
  9. You know what they say about nymphing for cutties!!
  10. So why did they think it was a good idea? What can I say except, "people are idiots"!!
  11. Empty boat, those NRS drifters ride high! Apparently, Josh in his Clacka made it through, but a fibreglass boat is much heavier! Yeah, I don't think a weaker swimmer would have been able to swim out to the eddy and would have been in trouble!! Not sure what the flow is and how that effects the size of the rapids. I betcha there will be quite a few flipped boats after it opens!!
  12. Looks to be a practice scenario (though the swim was not intentional, from what I was told)!! https://instagram.com/p/BUPtL3vh19N/ That's Aaron from Troutfitters!! Total Waterpolo stroke!
  13. Paul Go down to the bottom of the page and look at the "online list"! Press "see full list"! They are watching you!!
  14. Has anyone else noticed the number of bots that are consistently bombarding this site? Google and Bing and a ton of "guests"!! Are they looking for personal data or just a way to get people's count up?
  15. What can I say Jason... I admit I was under gunned... Yeah it's a BIIIx, but a 6 wt can only do so much!! I wasn't expecting to be using as large flies as what we found to be working...
  16. Glad it's a Winston But yeah, I should have brought something more then a 6 wt...
  17. Deb and I got out for a little pike action today... She recently purchased a new camera (Olympus EM 10 Mark II - mirrorless ) and was playing with the settings... This one turned out pretty good (though I probably should have brought my 8 wt)!
  18. You've had some unfortunate occurrences lately, eh?! First a flipped jet boat and now flipped drift boat, all in the span of a few weeks!! I hope everyone is alright?!
  19. Would this organization not be confused with TU Bow River chapter?
  20. Dave Get a hold of Taco, he found some static "climbing" type rope (used for rappelling and window washing, as opposed to dynamic - stretchy climbing rope). He might have a source. I think he bought an entire spool, if I remember correctly... P
