  1. I've always wanted to play harmonica, but I can only make it sound like a rutting elk. Eddy, do you compete at the professional level of Air Guitar? http://www.airguitar.ca/news/
  2. Not 100% sure, but I think that the developer was at one time making a mac version as well as a unix version. It's too bad it's been fading as the site here supports the .fly files it uses.
  3. Sorry to hear about your grandpa. **** the haters on here and post away. It's why we created the site in the first place, to share our experiences on the rivers and lakes. Nice pics.
  4. I'm not sure how well they would fish, but I know that Dave and Max have thrown a few and caught a few browns out of the bow. If I was going to fish this one, I'd tie up a tandem on shorter shanks for sure. Carrie herself landed some really nice landlocked Salmon and large lake dwelling Brookies. I'm still trying to get a Carrie original, but I'm not prepared to dish out 300$ + for a fly just yet. lol
  5. Here is a Carrie Stevens pattern I've been working on. I've always got a few things I need to improve upon, but it's getting close. Mickey Doodle Hook: Partridge CS15 #4 Thread: White 6/0 Body: Silver tinsel Belly: Yellow bucktail Throat: Red schlappen Wing: Yellow hackle over red hackle Shoulder: Red Chinese hen back Eye: Jungle Cock nail Head: Black 6/0 thread with a red band
  6. For sure, that makes sense. Great, now I've got a lot of things to try out.
  7. I hear you on the foam. Nothing stopping you from tying some Dave's Hoppers like this or even some half foam SA Hoppers. When you use that, do you just thread the tippet through, or is it actually tied onto the eye?

    A Day In The Sw

Nice pics Taco. Love the look of that little pool.
  9. Just a couple hours left in this month's contest. Get you image and story posted up before midnight MST. Good luck everyone.
  10. Nice. I'd love a sixer sometime. The best I'va had so far is a four species day.
  11. Perhaps leave a copy of the book there as well, or look into having an outhouse build there.
  12. Tie up some in Electric Chicken Colours (Pink / chartreuse) and Showgirl (purple / pink).
  13. Take a look here - http://flyangler.ca/forum/index.php?showtopic=1344 The best thing to do though is to use a service such as flickr.com or photobucket to upload your images to. From there you can link it to any site. My recomendation is to use flickr as it has some other great features and no pop-up adds on the site. Use the BBCode with the URL of the image you want to post. [img=http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2547/3827839487_aa8d24fbe9.jpg] Here are the results.
  14. One week left to get your photos posted.
  15. Awesome Fish! Thanks for sharing it.
  16. It's too thin new for what I use it for, so I would need to let it sit for a couple days. I'm fine with the acetone, just taking care not to spill it on myself.
  17. I get the hard as nails at the drug store around the nail polish and the Acetone at the hardware store. I've tried using some commercial nail polish remver once on a small amount of cement and it didn't go so well. The straight stuff is the only way to go as Jack says.
  18. I've got some pure acetone I use for my head cement. Thanks.
  19. I've got some that is just a bit too thick. Anyone know what to use to thin it out a bit?
  20. What hook are you using? You could move up a size on a shorter shanked hook perhaps.
