Honest Automotive Repair Shop/mechanic??

Recommended Posts

Does anyone go to, or know of an independent auto repair shop, garage or mechanic, where a person can get a good job done at a fair & reasonable price?

For domestic vehicles.

Definitely not a dealership; I don't want to feel that I should have been kissed while I was getting screwed.

Preferably in the south part of town.

There has to be some around-doesn't there?

Thanks

Who would you guys recommend for a Clutch Job? Same guys mentioned above? or would you go to a company that does many a day? I'm up in Westhills, so we don't have to many shops around this area. I was thinking Mike's Auto?

We've dealt with Hank Isaak at Kingsboro Auto Service since about 1972.

Hank worked for his father-in-law, who owned it at that time.

Now, his son Paul will answer the phone.

It will be a bit of a drive from McKenzie Towne, but well worth it.

A couple of years ago, they did an emergency trailer wheel bearing job for a visiting Idaho client, while they floated the city section.

Tell him Michelle sent you. :-)

Is that the Hank that used to have the Shell on Elbow Drive? If so he is very good. Took great care of some family vehicles for years.

Yes, that is the same Hank.

Prior to the Shell on Elbow at Southland, he was further south on Elbow in Canyon Meadows. And before that, on Elbow at Heritage.

Nice to hear of your family's good experience.

Michelle
