  1. happy b-day brotha!!!!!!!!!
  2. roflmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u just made my day dude!
  3. u got it dude! the biggest disadvantage for a lightweight setup is haveing a line too light and outweighed by the fly setup u wish too toss!
  4. pkk nailed it..... 11-13' 5 and 6 wts are deadly on teh bow for fishing at distance.. even some 7wts are good choices for larger streamer fishin with the double handers! and leth fisher think of using a 3 or 4 wt for dryfly fishing when u want too save your tippet.. a longer softer rod like a 8 or 9 ' 3 or 4 wt will obsorb and bend more than a 6wt and take more impact reducing teh stress on light tippet.. so u can pull and stear the larger fish easier with less break offs compared too a 6wt....... and acually land them faster because u can apply more side pressure and ahve a tighter set drag........ im lookin at getting a 8' 8" 3wt thisyear.. gonna be a nutty stick!!!!
  5. the rods ive bin using the most on teh bow the past few seasons are a 9' 4 n 5 wt, a 9' or 9'6" 6 or 8wts a 11' switch and a 12' 6wt spey and 11' 6" 7wt(soone too be back in my hands) spey.... all loops and a few custombuilds from g&l flycraft
  6. found this link while peeping hte loop army blog( http://www.loop-army.blogspot.com/ )..... sweet for learning how too tie knots! http://www.animatedknots.com/improvedclinc...pg&Website=
  7. i prefer waiste highs..... i rarely wade past my knees because i can deliver teh fly too were i need too fish and if i need too cross i find a place easier and less risky.... incase of extreme weather conditions i have jackets, themal underwear, fleece liner hoodie etc.... i feel it is more of a preferance thing
  8. yea wut a up n down game.. props too iggy for hitting them milestones... sucks too see a loss tho.....
  9. i fish triple nymph rigs and enjoy it!
  10. i rocked em last year and will second that i love them.. very durable wader.. way more comfy than chest highs.... will be ordering a pair this spring forsure!
  11. sick pics dude!
  12. will check my schedule and if i have th eday off i will be there.......... if im allowed!?
  13. u owe me 4 tires and some rims a$$hole... fishin was mighty fine that day tho!
  14. in elementary school i use too fish for bulltrout with small 6-14" trout and whitties and wack them bulls too for dinner too
  15. hey dude floating line wil work.. you have a few ways too get your streamers down .. simplest is split shot either crimped right on teh head of the fly of somewere above maybe a foot or so.. its tougher cast splits but easy too get rigger up. i like sink tips.. if u use sink tips get a few of them like a intermediate, sink and fast sinker... i wouldnt worry about more than a foot or two of tippet from teh sink tip fish dont mind and use heavy tippet like 10-15lb maxima... as for streamer fishing styles u have the down and accross presentation... u can cast it 45 degrees down away frm teh bank and let it swing too shore.. if u want a deeper swing cast with a greater angle upstream.. maybe straight across or even upstream..... there is also a strippin method were you would cast your streamers out tehn retrieve them in with a stip pause stip pause motion.. mix it up. some fast strips some slow.. long strips or short twitches... hope that helps! dont get discouraged.. keep in mind u are targeting the fish that are more willing too move and chase and eat a few larger food items.. not sit behind a rock and eat many small food items all day.... so cover teh water and find teh active fish!
  16. caught taht one on a golden stone or sjw cant remember... tripped me out. got anotehr last spring too!
  17. sick find dude!!!!!!!!!
  18. no but a 4wt would do the job or try shooting your line rather than casting teh head......
  19. its a 2wt 420 u wont eb tossin many bombs with it.. i like teh rio selective trout on my 2wt...... double taper
  20. hey the aluminum eyes dude! work wonders and dont weigh f*ck all compared too otehrs....
  21. 3 loose wraps on teh deer hair.. then slowly tighten... i like less is more idear... stack it up.. once u have it all spun too teh eye take a ball point pen tube and pack it back as hard as you can.. spin more and keep on packin it back.. suually halfdozen or more budles shal do ya.. she can never be too tight!
