  1. I still do but it contains lunch
  2. You could try that or slice out the rings that are loose and replace them with new ones.
  3. Wonderful place wherever it is, haven't gotten enough small water fishing this year.
  4. KLINKHAMER Special one of my favorites. Hook: Partridge CS54 size 6 Thread: silk Body: Light-tan muskrat mixed with poly Wing: florecent poly-yarn Thorax: Three strands of Peacock herl or peacock dub Hackle: One large grizzly dun hackle
  5. I like it, it picks up all the surface dirt off the water and onto the line, great for cleaning the surface of the Bow, another positive is the great music it makes going through the guides. Reminds me of fingers on a blackboard and I'm sure it's also really good for the rod guides. But becaus of the really cool name I was thankfully able to resell mine really quickly.
  6. I often share knowledge and give away flies. Met some great people out there. I am reminded of the quote. Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. Wise Phrase by Henry David Thoreau
  7. They could also be taking emergers just under the film.
  8. use it a lot, love it when you see the rain coming down.
  9. Or the clouds of Blackflies in northern Ontario
  10. Wonderful, thanks for posting those small streams can be real gems.
  11. The first frost will soon be here boys, it will clear these little buggers up.
  12. Yea I really enjoyed that series they need to run it again.
  13. Let me know how those work out for you, we'll call em Jeremi's Goldens
  14. I find that double dries don't work well as hopper dropper set ups. Cross currents are not kind to a larger and smaller fly combo on the surface. There's nothing to say you can't try it.
  15. You can't use bombers in Alberta Shhhh...
  16. You could try to use heavier tippet. Your choice though, following the fish works well unless you encounter an obstacle like deep water or high banks. You could also look to your equipment, is it fly gear for large trout? Lots of variables including tension of the moment and experience. There be monsters out there including species other than Trout.
  17. Love em for storing flies I've tied over the winter, wish there was a source. I also really like cigar boxes, lots of character.
  18. Signed without hesitation.
  19. So... a bunch of artists "celebrate" the Bow river by throwing hundreds of items into it, and some money is made that goes where? It helps the river how? I guess I'm just getting old, it seems that when I pick up some garbage along it's banks I end up doing more directly. Sigh... maybe it's just me.
  20. It's the way of the world now if you fly. My cousin came up from Arizona last spring to fish the Bow. He had 3 reels with him that he had to peel the silk lines off into a nearby garbage bin quite a few dollars there. He also lost all his tippets, floatant and 3 zingers. He barely got through with his reels. You do have to be careful when you fly. A lot of guys are now shipping their gear before they fly so it is here for them.
  21. Filled mine out. Definitely needs some sold enforcement.
  22. Nice fish, looks like a nice summer, thanks for posting.
