  1. It does take time for the Trout to start looking up. After all its easier to feed on the staging nymphs first. They will start keying in.
  2. Spey cast may times from drift boats. Never had a problem even with 3 guys at the same time as long as they are reasonably competent casters. You do have to situate your people where they have a batch of water in a direction for a comfortable water load. But you don't need much space.
  3. Spent the weekend working in the Greenhouse, one more weekend of work and "She who must be obeyed" will be satisfied and let me off the lash.
  4. Unless the ATV crowd starts self policing, they will loose access to many areas.
  5. Lots of opportunities In Kelowna, 5-6 wt fly rod would do, many mountain lakes to take advantage of and great Rainbow action with your typical lake set ups, and often dry fly heaven. Short trip south will get you into Bass fishing with streamers or better still poppers. Fun area for the fly fisherman. Visit Troutwaters fly shop out there for patterns and places, friendly shop.
  6. The idea is great, the more we can send in the better data they will have.
  7. Needs a nice Red Agate Line Guard.
  8. You need someone to properly test that puppy. I would take the task on for a few years and let you know how it goes.
  9. OOOOOoooo..... Shiny, I like it.
  10. A few years back while on a BC river the fellow I was fishing with had a take that took him out to his backing and then lost his entire fly line. The Dacron backing was abut 5 years old, when I checked it out I could pull it apart with my hands, totally rotten. It was an eye opener. I remember the old braided black line we used for backing in the 60's (cotton based) and it would start degrading in 3 years. I don't think it's UV but moisture/water chemicals/film/dirt that does it. On the other hand I have D backing that is around 6 that is like new (I carefully check my lines very year and give em a good wash along with my fly lines. I think it helps but I also think some brands are more susceptible to rapid degradation.
  11. Lazyboy needs to come out with a Pontoon boat.

  14. Never aim at a spot on the water. Go for 6 to 8 inches above then let it float down.
