  1. Hey RocknBugs are you still around? PM me if ya are.
  2. As funny as this may seem there is a lot of truth to it from what I have heard from a guy who has an inside view of the goings on.
  3. Have seen many, many, many hunters break the rules growing up in the hunting community. From shooting out truck windows, to trespassing, and poaching. In my opinion its very common and widespread. Didn't mean to hijack sorry.
  4. Anyone here about this yet? Power plant proposal questioned Gwendolyn Richards, Calgary Herald Published: Thursday, April 17, 2008 The proposed water source for a natural-gas-fired electricity generating facility to be built in Shepard Industrial park sparked concerns during a public meeting Wednesday night.More than 100 people showed up to hear Enmax officials talk about the proposed $1-billion-plus plant, which is still in the early planning stages. Dwight Coopersmith asked how the city-owned company could use water from the Bow for the 1,000-megawatt plant when there is a moratorium on water permits from the river. Enmax spokesman Peter Hunt said the company is looking at using water discharged from treatment plants rather than fresh water in their facility, calling it "a good example of recycling."The city does not include water going back into the Bow River when it calculates water permits, so any water returned to the Bow is a "bonus," Hunt said.Coopersmith called the move a "loophole" that needs to be closed, saying water from the treatment plants goes back into the river and downstream to other communities that need it. Tom Lipp questioned why Enmax is not looking at other locations."They're locating a major industrial site far too close to residential areas," he said. "It's not like Alberta is short on land. "He questioned how the energy company planned to build trust with area residents since there is no plan to consider another location. Hunt said the planning is still in the preliminary stages and must go through formal regulatory processes with the city and the province before Enmax can move ahead on the location. He said there will be more time for public input and debate. "This is just the start," he said.
  5. Love the pics guys, especially the one with the rainbow (not a fish). Here's one of my favorites from 2007:
  6. Thanks for the story Rick. I'm counting the days until spring!
  7. I played 2142 for a while as well. Pretty good game but gets pretty frustrating when teamplay is smashed due to the huge number of very young players (under 16). Starcraft was awesome! I can't wait to play the new one.
  8. Once in a very long while a game comes along that changes the way we play, and think about games. The Witcher is that game. This game will change the way games are made. This game is an epic adventure, every bit as compelling as deep as epic tales like The Lord of The Rings, except you honestly feel like your shaping the game as you play it, and determining a unique outcome (which is exactly what it does). A total breakthrough in gaming. Don't miss out on this one, the corporate giants will eat up the producers, and talents behind this game making things all about money again ensuring that their talents are wasted on kids rabble.
  9. RPG isn't usually my kind of bag either Brent but this one changed that. This game is like pure crack. It will suck you in and not let go. Yeah I played halflife 1, 2 and ep2 as well. Loved them.
  10. Dunno if any of you play the odd PC game but if you do, check out a game called The Witcher. I have been playing PC games since the days of wolfenstein 3D (not bragging believe me ... :lol:lol ) and I can honestly say this game is probably the best one I have ever played in almost every different aspect of pc gaming. It has the best storyline, cut scenes, characters, action, camera control... I have ever seen bar none! The gameplay and graphics that will simply blow your mind. Oh, and don't get this one for your kids since it also contains extreme violence and sexual content.
  11. Nothing like a bunch of grumpy fly fishermen, and women, who cant scratch their itch. Just give us a reason to go ape@#$@! LOL
  12. Ya know I never thought of it that way.... hmmmm.
  13. Good luck to both of you if you make it out.
  14. I can believe the stupidity in that first video. Who in their right mind would try pull stunts with a passenger, let alone a woman wearing jeans and a t-shirt. What a complete idiot.
  15. Thats the devils music right there Writer! I'm going straight to hell for watching that.
  16. Couldn't resist posting one more of my all time retro favs:
  17. The greatest retro of all time baby! Lick it up Biotches! Click here if the movie does not play.
  18. Keep these reports coming Glen! The place looks magical.
  19. In for sure! Great idea hawg
  20. Why the Hype, thats easy, some of the most outspoken members have picked up the Spey and are excited about it, as they should be. This excitement is infectious, which is a good thing. Hell I know for a fact I will probably get a spey rod some day and draw upon others experience from this forum to help me learn how to become proficient with one. Its all good in my opinion. I see the advantages that Spey rods have in certain situations on big waters like the bow. Likewise I see the advantages one handers have in other situations. It's just another great way to experience fly fishing that requires a new set of skills and understanding. I wouldn't say its taking your fly fishing skills to the next level, but rather expanding your current skills to encompass other great fly fishing mechanisms and tactics.
  21. LOL. I have a hard time believing that most members here would not take Max seriously just because he's goofing around with the keyboard intentionally being a little sloppy. Fishhead take a chill pill.
  22. Most likely there should be open water near the outlet of the aeration from what I understand . Lets pray for an early spring, and hope the fish pull through.
  23. Awesome Glen! Keep the reports and pictures coming. Soooooooooooooooooo jealous!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. Wow suprised to hear this Gordo. I have had nothing but spectacular fishing each time I visited the lake this year. Caught many around 16, and always a handful 18+ each time out. Biggest this year was a 24 which was fat as hell. What may I ask did you not like about this fishery?
