    Brookies

That is the sickest brookie I have ever seen. Caught a 19.5 inch when I was 19 but not even close to as fat as that sucker! Wowsers!
  2. LOl... oh thats bad
  3. Yeah I have seen this one. I thought of buying the mats to make PTs just like the inventor actually did as show in this video but have yet to follow through. Oliver Edwards is probably my most favorite fly fishing personality and I strive every time I am out to become as good as he is by the time I am his age. What an amazing person and fly fisherman he is .
  4. Good stuff gentlemen. Had a good laugh at that run downstream . I'm with you MTB on being to lazy to chase any more. The funny thing is I seem to be able to turn em around after a while anywho .
  5. A more traditional pattern:
  6. Is this considered skating a dry fly as well?
  7. Awesome pictures! Not seeing another fly fisher in that many days of fishing is equally amazing. Glad you had such a great adventure.
  8. Agree with this one. As well I clean most of my gear after each outing making sure there is no dirt or other contaminates in my reel or on my rod.
  9. All are great looking ties brent. Some more for me to copy... muhhahahaha
  10. Very sweet looking Pupa MTB. I will tie some of these up when I can pick up the lace and legs (dont have them currently). Thanks for sharing.
  11. Wanted to see the different styles/colors of pheasant tails that everyone ties. Please post your pheasant tail pics! Here's 2 of a bout 6 variations I tie.
  12. Good for a couple of lafs! Click here if the movie does not play.
  13. Have had 15 wonderful years of fly fishing memories. About half of those years were very meager due to career commitments and schooling. Only the last 2 years were spent on rivers with most being spent on still waters.
  14. I believe both parties are corrupt and that the upcoming administration will be appointed by it predecessor and not the people as the last administration, and many before it was. The average person/vote fixates on the republican or democratic parties debates and campaigns thinking that their favorite, if winning the majority vote, will actually carry out their own (unique) agenda for positive change for all Americans. It's a shared agenda... one agenda... and one party. Even if the polls weren't fixed, you would still get the same evil just a different face. It's the slide of hand trick. Keep you looking where they want you to look while the real show takes place just under your nose. Yes, I took the red pill. Oh, and Rickr, take no offense, I hate my own corrupt government as well.

    Test

Thats a pretty little rainbow you got there. Thanks for the pic.
  16. Rest easy Birchy we have the best Doctors, medical procedures and technologies in the world. We will see you very soon.
  17. The further we are from any US policy the better. Harper was bought pretty cheap. Hope he doesn't sell us out any more than he already has.
  18. A little off topic, but I wanted to tell you I caught this guy using one of the shallow water methods you taught me. It's one of my favorites and I wanted to thank you for that!
  19. Caught 2 different trout in the past couple of weeks that each had a single dime size hole (cone shape) in their sides. The wounds were open and red looked pretty nasty. Anyone else see a fish with these on the bow before? Wish I had the camera with me but didn't sorry.
  20. You said it brotha!

    My July

Some beautiful pictures there max. I would sure love to stow away in your backpack sometime .
  22. The body is just olive rabbit mixed with a little natural rabbit. The thorax is charcoal antron. Thinskin is what I use for the shell.
  23. Caught this super fat silver rainbow (if it is a rainbow) on tuesday afternoon. From the hookup it just felt different from other trout I have caught on the Bow. Firstly, it was super strong, and took my well into my backing on its first run and back into my backing after getting half my line back in. Then it motorboated across the surface a bunch which I don't see typical rainbows do much. Once I got it to hand I was shocked at how big around it was and how solid it felt. It was pure silver and just didnt feel like any other rainbow I have caught before. I have caught other silver rainbows in the bow before but they at least had a green back on them not a dark brownish color like this one. Any thoughts from you old bow vets? Could this be a half breed salmon/trout?
  24. I don't know how many of you visit www.sexyloops.com often but it's startup guy, Paul Arden, who is a world class fly caster instructor seems to be poking around Calgary and southern Alberta these days. If you see Paul around make sure you give him a warm welcome and offer him some booze or maybe a pair of socks! Check out the editorial he posted today on the homepage of www.sexyloops.com tonight if you would like to hook up with him and his mates on the Oldman this Friday. Seems he has given an open invite. Cheers!
