  10. had a nice big tick jump on my neck last week. i felt it and got it off thankfully
  11. darrin go with a 9ft if your nymphing. im fishing a 8' 6" fast action rod right now and its a bitch for nymphing. much harder to mend, casting in wind makes you really work. i would say go with the 9 or even 9' 6"
  12. i and a few other have done very well during runoff in the nw. fish the banks and find slower water.

  15. is there a hatchery that i can just show up and and take a look? i know there is the sam livingstine and allens trout farm which one should i go to?
  16. you could get one of the pen rod extreme rods they even have little fly reels LOL to bad the gardens are close for renos
  17. how did you make out with the trout aquarium? i picked up a 175gallon tank this weekend and live within 100m of the river. "Possess live GAME FISH unless the fish have been lawfully caught by angling and are within 100 m of the waters from which they were caught." from the regs so would this mean i can keep fish i caught seeing as i am within the allowed distance? as for a chiller did you end up using one? i have an idea of using an old water cooler to do the job.
  18. nice fish guys! bigbrown. here is a reed study done by trout unlimited. click.. they did the studies the last week of september and by that time the fish were off the reeds and had moved back down. who is to say this fish has not already made the trip? maybe this bull spawns every second year as it states in the article that some do.... btw only a small amount of reeds were found below the closed areas on the highwoood sheep and elbow.
  19. pretty much every day i have been down there winter or summer it has been fishing well. its the bow afterall! lots of fish in the shallow water. goodluck
  20. fishing was decent. didnt really fish for cutties much most of our time was spent hunting bulls we saw a few bigger bulls but only managed one around 24 the rest in the 20 range the last day i went(sunday) with the intent of fishing for cuts. i was rigging my rod up and snaped the tip. it must have been fractured or something maybe from hitting it on sharp shale or something down there. so i was forced to fish streamers for the day. there were lot of mayflys later afternoon. they were brown but have no clue what they were. maybe size 12-14 goodluck this weekend.
  21. they can pull up ownership from your plates. but everytime i have been pulled over i have been asked for everything. guys make sure that the offence notice box is checked where they sign the ticket! i have got off of 4 tickets for this box not being checked off!
