  1. yikes! Glad to hear they are okay.
  2. You have a water bottle at my house to.......hmmmmmm Is this your way of ensuring we take you fishing again????
  3. You can still access the Elk from the boat launches between Hosmer and Elko I believe, but no walk and wade access. So the back country rivers are all closed. When the closure first started, the BC guys started bringing their clients to AB. Not sure what they will do now that our rivers are closed as well.
  4. Will be good for the bulls and cutts to have an earlier break this year.
  5. So I assume this means all activity in the areas are closed? Not just the campgrounds.
  6. Funny thing is......if you say ANYTHING to them.......you are instantly the ********* in their minds. Entitled, oblivious, and rude I take solace in the fact that they are probably terrible fishermen.
  7. Dang, good to know!
  8. Anyone see any of the stores in Calgary carrying these? Simms rip rap wading shoe I usually only see them in the states. I've blown through my second pair. They last about a 2 seasons with the abuse I put them through. Best option I have found for wet wading.
  9. Dang boys, that Jasper trip looks so AWESOME....wish it would work within my schedule.
  10. Damn fine addition, very cool piece to have around the home!
  11. My concern is that there are no regulations barring upstart companies other than the hoops you have to go through with Health Canada. These small companies will cut into the profit margin of the bigger more established companies. Also, what happens if/when big toboacco companies decide to start producing? Established companies with distribution and manufacturing facilities already in place, and no need to go to the banks for investment. That is a scary proposition. Again, too many unknown variables for my investment taste.
  12. Maybe....they will go off eventually. And that is if you pick the right one. The rationale of go big could also mean you go home with nothing. I'm not entirely convinced it is a Buy stock yet. Still too many unknowns. Time will tell.
  13. There is a new Canadian ETF that trades in marijuana. Would mitigate your risk by investing in many companies. Fairly low MER at 0.75 http://www.horizonsetfs.com/etf/HMMJ
  14. $100 on 3
  15. Item 3: $50
  16. Glad it worked out for you!! Some good people around here!
  17. How fast is the water moving where it is? Even if it is a walking pace current, there will be a ton of down force on the boat due to its large surface area. People power may not be enough. Last time a boat needed to be recovered, they had to have a tractor pull on it to dislodge it. However maybe with some come alongs or a winch you might be able to get it moving???
  18. Glad that they are all okay!!! What the heck happened? I have a jet and would help, but unfortunately not available in the next couple of days.
  19. Why in their right minds would they allow the river to become silty when it is spawning season? So bassackwards
  20. The committee investigating as to whether we should bid on the 2026 winter olympics is looking for your input. Have your say here: https://www.shouldcalgarybid.com/ Takes about 5-10 minutes.
  21. Here you go: https://talkaep.alberta.ca/fisheries-management-survey-south-saskatchewan-region
  22. Passed. Here is an article with a limited scope explanation of what was passed. http://calgaryherald.com/storyline/by-the-numbers-calgarys-new-river-access-strategy
  23. Sounds awesome. Looking forward to it. Is there good enough access to walk and wade around there, or should I bring the jet boat out of storage early?
  24. I believe ironbow does driftboat lessons.
