  1. Yes.....yes....happy. That's exactly what I meant. Happy. What a happy hat.
  2. Did you bring some spare waders?
  3. Those are some GREAT pics! That's a gay hat though.....
  4. Nicely done!
  5. Great idea and I would fully support that for those who are out and about 200 days a year. But, how would you be compensated? Would you expect to be paid for your efforts or would it be done via volunteering? And, if so, because you aren't being paid, would that make you an official officer? If not, how could the charges possibly stand up in court? There are few enough convictions as it is, although, this would likely drastically increase awareness, it would also increase the number of hearings that end up going nowhere and tying up taxpayers dollars. Just being devil's advocate here. I really do like the idea as it would increase awareness and likely scare the crap out of the offenders who know they are breaking the rules hoping to get away with it, because that guy across the river from them may just be a "CO".
  6. I'm skunked far more often than I am successful, but I don't let it get me down. Sure, I love to catch fish as much as the next guy, but with how drastically things change on the Bow, the fishing changes too. Even a few inches of water will change how fast the river flows, which will change where the fish are, and then you have to find them all over again. Frustrating beast she is, but I love her none the less.
  7. Yes it was, very cool. Thanks for the great evening! It was good to fish with you again Mike, it was too long since our last outing. Also great to meet troutlover. Nice to get two matches done in one shot. Next up, Avalance. Maybe next time I'll catch more than just a cold.... Finally Tallys Tungsten 7 - FNG - 0 troutlover 3? - FNG - 0
  8. Just watching it takes my breath away. How those guys can run up and down the length of that field for 90 minutes straight is beyond me. It's no wonder that dude died of a heart attack. Soccer is boring, the the players have my respect as athletes.
  9. Mike will attest that after tonight, he IS fishing, while I am just practicing my casting, and ultimately, my tangle undoing........
  10. I currently have two TFO's and have owned three. Never had one break from use. I have an 8'6" 5wt for dries on the Bow and a 7'6" 3wt for the mountain streams. Both signature series four pieces and I love them both. Suit my casting ability and have both been very reliable.
  11. Yeah, be best to talk to them directly. I should have mentioned that originally lol. If I am not mistaken, they are most often a special order. One of the guys here at work ordered one through them.
  12. You can talk to the guys at Fish Tales. They carry them.
  13. I'll be workin' But there are two weeks in mid-August that has me thinking I'll be doing a lot of fishing on the highwood, Liv, Oldman, Crow. I can't wait.
  14. Gorgeous fish dude!
  15. There is always the form favorite...... http://www.youtube.com/user/humblefisherman?blend=2&ob=1
  16. I just shipped up a bunch of stuff via USPS and the brokerage came to $9.
  17. Fish Tales carries the Amundson line up. You can get the Trend reels there.
  18. I'm rockin' the TXS reel on both my 5wt and 6wt rods. Awesome reel for the money. Fish Tales carries them, so you can support TWO site sponsors in one shot!
  19. Next time I'm at WalMart, I'll pick some up to try. Couldn't hurt.
  20. Finally made it out for my match up with timj this morning. Went to a familiar run for both of us and had a good time despite the colder weather. Wind made for some fun casting and some colourful language from yours truly while untangling some pretty nasty wind knots. Both of us got into some fish, however we were only able to get one each into the net. Tim had a nice brown for his and I managed a nice rainbow. I would guess both of them to be in the 16-18 inch range. Really nice colours on the brown and the bow. I'll get some pics of them both up later once I get them downloaded off the camera. Final Score Timj 1 FNG 1 We both managed to hook into some other fish, but the fish Gods were against us. Tim lost one on a streamer take and I had a big un take off on me and straighten my hook! Caddis pupa was the hook for us today. Both Tim and I caught ours on them. Great morning and great to meet you Tim, I look forward to fishing with you again!
  21. African swallows.....
  22. Wow. Just.....wow. Are there REALLY people that stupid out there???? Seriously?
  23. I have the Brodin Gellatin with the rubber ghost net on it and I love it. Hooks don't get snagged in it and the lack of fabric won't rub the slime of them. Can't get much more fish friendly than that.
