I will always continue to buy from shops because I am and immediate gratification kind of guy. If it means spending and extra $20 so that I can have it "right now" then I'll spend it. Once you add in shipping costs and waiting 3-4 weeks for delivery from most places, the extra cash and personal experience, in my opinion, is worth it. The only time I would consider shopping online is if I can't find what I am looking for locally. I will always try and find it local first.

My latest rod is a 9'6" 6wt Hydros. Love it. The extra length makes a difference on mending and casting the weighted rigs.

The only thing that I find slow about this site is the lack of posters lately. I know that it's likely due to it being winter and all, but even compared to last year, there's less happening here. IMO

Icky gets my vote. Reelflies.ca is a huge site and has a bigger selection (I have ordered from them and was looking forward to seeing them at the show as they were here last year, but they weren't this year) but you can't beat Icky for customer service. Order the flys on a Monday you have them by Wednesday. And a couple free one's to boot.

Picked up a copy of Blue Ribbon Bow by Jim McLennan, and apparently, I was the winning bidder on a Fly Max Films gift pack. Fly Max Hat, DVD, and long sleeve T-Shirt. Now I just have to figure out how to exchange the size from a M to an XL. Being 6'2" tall and 200lbs, I'm pretty sure the M won't fit at all. I guess I shoulda checked the size before I bid lol
