  1. BBT is right Captians is awesome..... but CB has gone to *hit each time I have been there over the last year, and BBT stay in Cochrane, these are northy only eateriers
  2. wicked pics Max, thank you
  3. Thanks for the info Scorpion, I think a few of my buddies and I will be using Ahlstrom air next year.
  4. well wolfie, I won't argue with you over the interwebs, you are clearly right in everything you type. But for others that know differently I have been to Bainbridge, and watched the process of rods being built. THere is more then enough avenues for people to use to find the truth about Sage being 100% built in the USA. One such avenue is the # i posted 1.800.533.3004 Plus why would they send Sage rods to China, when they could just use Redington's plant in Korea...... doesn't make to much sense in ROI side of things to have to seperate manufacturing plants in asia.

    July Pics.

Good pics Ayr, next time you are down let me know. WE'll go find some bullies
  6. 1983, I think. But don't believe me call 1.800.533.3004. It is the # to Sage's office in Bainbridge, Washington. They will be more then happy to schedule a tour of the plant where you can view blanks being turned from start to finish.
  7. I love it, the more rain teh better it keeps people off of the bow and I tend to find more fish myself when the water is teh way it is. Got some real nice browns and bows the last couple of days, today was no different.... in teh rain
  8. Nice brookie shots those rule
  9. 6.493 ms serious????? thats like 20' I thought I read some where that most spawning trout and salmon can leap a maximum of 7' I'll try to find some data supporting it. But I guess Max has a good point about the flow
  10. I was out there with a couple of buddies on wednesday some dudes came into jump.... so we left, we all have a right to the river and it had been a good day hunting bullies, we went down river a 100ms or so and continued to land fish.
  11. The Z-Axis' aren't to much, did you look at the prices of the TCXs???, as GrnDrake said if you use one you quickly forget about the price once you start feeling what you can achieve with your line so easily. My next rod will be a Z, probably 690. Remember as well Sage's are virtually hand built in the USA, labour cost is a huge factor in price.
  12. awesome pic of that brown wicked spots
  13. Is there anything availible in print for this? When I have been on the JP and have been told that water is private, I told the farmer he was mistaken and the stream banks were ok, he told me to beat it. I would have prefered to fish but but I wasn't in the mood to fight it out with a farmer. This gives us great ammunition but when the land owner tells you, "you're wrong" what then??? it would be nice to have something that you could show the cops when they arrive. This is not meant to be a critisism, it is just a question as to what do we do next? If land owners continue to push off us of "thier" creeks regardless of legality what can we do to guarentee access. Thanks for the leg work BBT, I have been wondering about this for a while as I frequent the Jumping Pound.
  14. Sure, let's meet at the bridge crossing the Burnt Timber at 6:30am Saturday
  15. I've been using TelusTV for about 5 years, I was on the beta. It is fine the no HD is an issue with me and really should be for anyone thinking about buying a new tv. I have never had problems like I have read here with the modem but these things happen. there is a new box coming out that will is HD and has a built in PVR. I will echo that it royally sucks when something does go down as your internet and tv are useless and you feel like it is 1992 all over again. I get around 260 channels... pretty much the complete package. I would personally wait until the new box comes out so you can have HD. I have a couple HD tvs and standard cable looks like ass. But I have never had a problem, running a download, gaming on my 360 and my wife watching tv at the same time, but my wife being a upper level Telus staffer might have something to do with it.... lol
  16. water temps on the FTR up form cochrane have been no where near dangerous levels, I would be surprised if you find water over 16c this week. Even when we had that bit of heat week ago water temps weren't over 15c on my thermometer
  17. THe bathrooms have signs on the doors that state the same
  18. I think I have way more ability to land fish faster with the TXL, don't know what it is. I was thinking of going with the 000wt TXL but glad I got the 2wt as I can still use it for nymphing. Probably get a 000wt next year. I hope to use the 2 wt nymphing on the bow this week. no she was freaking out and she was very hard to grip, I was worried I would end up dropping her in the boat, so i let her free, with just pics.
  19. So I caught a rainbow today out in the hills on my Sage TXL 2wt 7'10" It was a blast on the tiny stick and some what unexpected. Sorry about the photoshopping but it would have been to easy then.
  20. onthefly7, I have caught a few bullies. I am no bully expert but I'll be more then happy to show you some waters that I have hooked some bullies. You are from Texas and I don't expect you will be increasing the pressure on my favorites. If i am in town (damn work). PM me and we'll talk
  21. I have a Sage TXL 2710 2 wt 7'10" and a Z-axis 390 3 wt 9'. If you would like to try either PM me
  22. I'll steal a quote from Jim McLennan " Learning to fly fish on the Bow is like learning to drive on the Daytona 500." It's a tough river, once you think you have it figured out it will throw you a 2 week funk. Just keep pounding away and it will come. I know that sounds shitty but, thats the bow
  23. I'm going to be out for a while, have to work
  24. No we didn't
