Max is correct, i was just single hand spey casting the rod I tried, it was lined with a Rio Gold one wieght up from what the blank listed. I am a Sage guy but was one of the nicest sticks I have used.

I had the opportunity to cast that exact stick a couple of weeks ago on the highwood. I was super impressed, it was very easy to put out huge roll casts and single hand spey casting was effortless.... with that price you can't go wrong

a lot of manufacturers allowed replacements up to the early 90s but things have changed and not many manufacturers are going to give a retailer the power to give away rods. The system was flawed because it was abused and if there is a charge back the retailer is caught having to pay the fee if the breakage wasn't warrantied. Would you want someone that doesn't have a vested interest in your company making decisions on who gets free product? I know it sucks, I have broken several rods this year and you just have to wait or buy a TFO

Get a bee dude to come by and they will lure them out with queen juice and take them to their farm. Bees are in serious trouble so please don't kill them............. unless you don't like fruits and veggies (you will notice I used technical terms)

Why is it considered a biohazard? Are there micro-organisms or viral pathagins involved? I am not wanting to add fire to the flame, I just don't know. Generally biohazards must be biological in nature to be classed. Doesn't the re-injecting of water into the shale just put it back into the water table to be filtered through natural means? I would think that water would make it back?

Yep they coated water up here (NW) as well. I tend to check out ant hills when ever I come accross them in them in the bush, last week every ant hill was chocked full of fliers waiting for the right temp. 420fisherman's yard was over run with them last night

420 and i found someones almost dead dog last year on the highwood.... that ruined a day. I find stuff all the time, lately it has been dry fly floatant, but I loose stuff EVERY day i fish. I'm going to have to get my hemos in bulk soon. I also tend to find stuff I have lost weeks later. In this last winter I lost both my knife and a set of hemos on different waters; only to find them 2 weeks later. When ever I find lures or spoons I hang them in the evergreens.... kind of my way of making it christmas every day. I put 2 in a tree yesterday on the highwood. Plus this way people see it and take them, I generally cut the trebles off. If I am very lucky I find some trout.

I worked for a couple of weeks out of town so I was only able to get handful of days out on the water a lot of it was spent hiking, searching, hiking and searching some more. I was priveledged to get out with The Humblefisherman a couple of times (note to self; "next time take a notebook and not a rod") and a few out of towners who got a piece of our little fishing heaven. Found a wicked sauna one day out in the middle of no where beside a creek, what a great way to wake up. A friend from the US stated to me, "when we got here i thought good looking water, never did I think it would hold fish this large. In the states a creek like this would hold 10"-12" fish." Just after releasing his 3rd fish over 18" Spent some time searching for trucha de toro, didn't find anything over 26" in july but there is some to find if you work. Unfortanetly it appears the poachers are working as well. I saw several bait buckets in hard to reach areas. Keep out a vigilant eye, they need our assitance sometimes. We are lucky never forget it, hope you enjoy.
