good on ya boys. extra kodos for getting Andy out
  9. A Redington Predator in 8 or 9 is a great stick if you would like to try either let me know I have both. A Xi2 is a great option as well the VT2s from Sage are a great deal aswell but I find the grip cramps my hand. Most of the PIke specific rods you will find on the market right now are all generally under 9' For 2 reasons one it is way easier to maintian fly control with the shorter sticks so if you have to dump stuff in small weed holes you are set and two the Bass and Pike tours don't allow rods of 8'9" (i think it could be inchs shorter or longer)
  10. I also use a TXL. I have the 2710 This year I have landed many fish on the little stick I have fished it in some lakes contianing big rainbows. I caught my biggest lake fish of the year on it, roughly 7lbs. I feel I have had an easier time landing big fish as the rod really does work for you. And now I have contributed to the poorest sale thread ever, sorry Fishpro.
  11. Roots in TD Square may have something, they have during previous olympics
  12. Thorne's Manufacturing super easy to deal with and gets the small orders out fast
  13. wow adventure is right thanks for the story
  14. that's a pretty bold statement, you don't give the end consumer much faith do you? Not many guys go into a fly shop saying, I wish i could buy a TFO but I just can't make it through all this Sage propaganda oh well i guess I have to buy a Z-axis. If another brand was to be carried I think TFO would suit the bill because there isn't near teh amount of money tied up in carrying the stock.
  15. You'd have to talk to a retailer, perhaps one of the site sponsors for a deal to be worked out, I support Fish Tales every chance I get
  16. You are right I missed that
  17. I just had some buddies from Ireland out fishing the bow for a week; they both thought the prices of drift boats were crazy. THey stated on thier waters in Ireland a top notch ghillie is 180 Euros. So perhaps it is just a difference in perceptions. I told them $500 wasn't out of the ordinary and actually standard. They did a drift and caught tonnes of fish and when they got back they felt it was worth the price. It must be tough for a outsider to see the value in such an expense, with out knowing much about our fishing. But if you think $500 is expensive never go fish off-shore in the south pacific.
  18. I have had one in my hands but I wasn't able to cast it. I am hoping to have one shortly and i will make it availible to you guys if you want to meet on the river. As a comparison I have been fishing the Sage Z-axis 6100 6wt 10' the last weeks or so. I hope to be able to bring both out and do a side by side comparison.

  20. The leading edges on bull trout fins are a dead give away, that doesn't have any. Here is a crappy pic of a bull trout low quality but those fins are ultra apparent There are monster suckas in the bow, but i think cracka
  21. I've done up to quarter sized patches with Aquaseal and a square of neoprene. Just find hole and apply a liberal amount of aquaseal to the spot. Put on the neoprene patch, let dry for 24 hours you should be good for a while
  22. Never ever experienced that at elbow, strange......
