Did anyone here the DJ on cj92 this afternoon about 5 pm?i guess he floated yesterday police to mac and had a jet come upstream at there boat.He complained that the jet drove over the "good water" that they were gonna fish!I laughed.

i dont think it matters if its just a small area but anything with UV protection will work.you'll just have to re apply every once and awhile if it see's a lot of sun

Epoxy will fix almost everthing,you'll have to sand off the protective coating you have now so the epoxy will stick.then cover the epoxy once its cured(@70F could be 7 days) with something to protect from UV ,if its a small area then paint will do.

The best thing about the 12V high volume low pressure pumps is you can deflate really easy with them and your boat folds back up into a small package.

Thanks guys, i changed the model a little added a little more rocker to both ends so now 8 in the rear and 5 up front i also changed the flat area in the floor to only 2' then a gentle curve after that, this should help get the sides to bend a little more easily. i curved down the sides a bit to straighten the sheer,this will help keep the wind off and getting in and out a little easier.

not sure really how much i need but the boat will double as a lake boat so the back becomes the front ,so waves wont slap as much. Any idea how much rocker yours has?

The rocker as it sits now is 6.75" in the stern and about 3.75 at the bow.i think i'm gonna skinny up the floor at the stern to increase to about 8.i think i'll shave a little off of the tops of the sides at the bow and stern to flatten it out a bit.any idea how much rocker you'll end with on yours?

with the sale of my other boat I'm gonna try my hand at a bow river boat,not sure why they call them skiffs maybe the flat bow not sure.here are some pics of a model i built. shooting for about 12' in length,floor width of 48"side height of 20" this gives about 16.5" of free board and a beam of 69-70" plan on mounting a bow mount electric so i dont have to row. ordering some materials and epoxy,i see more sanding in my future.

ya only 3/8 looking for thicker thanks. I called paxx they have the gooder stuff but holy over 230$ for a 5x3'. i guess the cheaper stuff made in china will have a rubber smell that doesn't go away?cant say i've smelled the stuff.

What are cooking spaghetti on the river now with that colander? the worms you seek will go right threw those holes you need a screen or seen.Aquatic worms are red and have very skinny translucent bodies , there cousins earthworms are fatter and brown.

The cables the motor comes with are most likely #8 if you want to extend you need #6 or bigger.Also add an in line fuse close to your battery on the + side.Any place that does car stereo stuff will have what you need and the connectors. I'm with Terry i extended my cable for my boat with booster cables ,i needed to add 8' so a set of#6 cables waperfectct i just cut off the ends and used the connectors i got from the stereo place to join the two.

I'm surprised every time i look into the worm bins at fly shops and theres always that bait hook. Myself I've gouged a few eyes out with that hook when it first came out and have switched to a small gape streamer hook ever since. we've talked about this before and i can't remember who posted it but someone makes a better hook then the bait hook.Not sure who makes it.

By the pic it doesn't look that strong not for 300$.You can get strong glue on supports at one of the inflatable stores here in town.If you have the same as the pic (d rings) then you could cross strap a piece of wood down to the boat then you could attach a mount to that.Possibility's are endless.

I've gone through a few 10 footers now from 6 wt to 4wt and honestly for the bow there just too big and heavy.My 9 footers can do everything my 10's can do with more accuracy and there much lighter in the hand. try fishing a few before you buy for sure. I think the 10's will shine more on a lake when you need to throw 24' leaders.
