Holy crap. My wife got me a bamboo rod! I never saw that one coming in a million years. It's got an old antique reel and even the ancient fly line (I think it's a silk line). It's on the way in my den now. It's got no label or line weights or anything, so I am guessing it's home made, but is there any way to put a value on a rod like this?

And yeah you guys for sure made up my mind to stay with XP for at least a good long while..

How about us truck drivers who have been at the same wage for about 15 years now. 4000 a month used to be damn good money. Now I can't afford to do anything, really, except pay the bills and sit at home. I guess it's a good thing I got that fishing sim game a while ago... might be fishing on Flysim more than on a real river this year...

I will be in Seward, Alaska on June 30th unloading a log home. On July 1st.and possibly a few more days after..... I am free. Anybody know what's kickin and can make some reccomemdations? My preference would be king salmon, but I'll be happy with whatever action is hot. I will be travveling through Anchorage to get to seward, it's out on the Kenai penninsula Need some contacts up there as soon as possible, I leave on the 23rd. thanks a ton!

I second that. I've found lots of brooks in the crow, especially the upper sections. Most are small (less than 6 inch) but some are decent sized (14 inches or so)
