  1. Good gawd. I can only assume one place... great fish. I'll bet there's a pile of those small stocker rainbows in his belly.
  2. That's a big arse bully bud!! But I don't see any pictures. There's no way I'll believe ya now!
  3. Pack a travel rod, some dries and small nymphs, a few indicators, some tippet, and head up to Crypt Lake (you need to take a FULL day, and a boat ride to the trailhead). The scenery will leave you breathless, and the fishing is good for cutthroats. You do need a parks license for it though... which u can get at the visitors center on the right as you head into town (unless things have changed, and then you should be able to get it on the main street visitors center across from the ice cream shop)
  4. great pics, and I agree, the last one is something else... great shot...
  5. Right on!!!
  6. Love the waterfall pic. And the lil' brookies. those are some special places!
  7. Rick, Can I go with you next time you go fishing? Surely you've used all the bad luck a guy can muster in a couple months now, and any further trips will be complete succes stories!! Plus... I need some good laughs anyways
  8. That laker is just FAT..... and ready for the BBQ!!!
  9. sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
  10. nice pics!
  11. Those powererfull bow river fish will dig into the bottom and if you have a trailing fly my guess is that it is snagging on the bottom as the fish zips by, and the power of the fish is snapping it. But to lose 5 bottom flies on 10 fish, I'd go with Xplorer and max and say you should change up your tippet too! I lose my bottom fly about 1/20 fish...
  12. He stole MY MOJO!!!! *I will hunt you down Jared!!* You guys are a quirky bunch, ain't ya?
  13. It's not the officers fault. There's only ONE guy who patrols the entire castle, waterton, belly, st mary's drainages... ALL of it.. PLUS lakes!!!!! The one I am being hard on is our crapheaded government and the inability to manage the resources they have. :$*%&:
  14. Why is it people can't obey regulations? If they are not they are quite simply STEALING from me and you... of our resource. It's no different than going into the store and stealing... and they do it in broad daylight in front of everyone, while telling them to ______ themselves... Idiots.... as usual the lack of enforcement in alberta shines through as a complete non-detterent for law-breakers. DO NOT VOTE PC next election!!!!!
  15. fantastic!!!
  16. I am thinking of hitting it soon myself, when are you coming? I was thinking thursday or friday, so long as no wind is forecast (All I have is a tube)
  17. Jared (troutlover) the FFC "eye candy" featured in our newest add website for Bow River Adventures HERE
  18. Increased rain also finds it way into my basement. while I love fishing, doing so in my basement is not my idea of fun. Love live the SUN!!! (tired of rain this year , lol... nice drought eh?)
  19. They need to put those babies in lakes where pike are preying on trout populations! Turn the tide!!! The empire strikes back!!
  20. On the same note, pleas esupport your local crowsnest fly shops too. Crowsnest Angler, and the Crowsnest cafe are both excellent shops. You can grab a nice lunch and a few flies right in Coleman right on hwy 3, or hit Vic Bergman up at the shop near bellevue on hwy 3. BC licenses can be purchsed at the home hardware in blairmore, close to both of those... I kow susn's doesn't sell BC licenses unless things have changed for this year... I think vic's shop actually does. In any case, lets keep these great shops open! Cheers from down south!
  21. another good way to break a slump is to drop me a PM tonight and head for the crowsnest river with me tommorow
  22. well rick if you took that bottle of champagne down to Lynn's you would have an excuse to break out that t-shirt again after your better half found out you took her 100 dollar bottle without askin!! seriously, the best way to bust out of a slump is the "call in sick from work day"... fishing is always great when you take the day off work to do it. Proper steps should be considered. 1) buy the nastiest disgusting cigar you can find 2) light 'er up and INHALE 3) immediately call work... your voice should be sufficiently scratchy enough to pass it off as being sick. 4) go buy some water and halls and whatever else will help your throat now. 5) go fishing. 6) tell no one.
  23. wicked pics steve! as usual.
  24. The instant after that pic the tail slaps me right across the face! LOL.. now THAT's getting your azz kicked... LOL
  25. Your talking about me ain't ya! *puts fists up* ok come on!!!! It was a great day the fish were ON. I got to get my pics together tommorow and stick em up here and in the W&W special post
