  1. My next boat is the outcast pac 9000 Designed for lake but fine for most rivers. Big enough to handle electric motor or over night gear. High quality. Four chambers for low profile in wind and added security in case of leaks. Reasonably light weight No straps needed for assembly
  2. With restricted access to the river at Carseland I think it unreasonable 17 th ave access is closed for no good reason. I would think its in the interest of fly shops, shuttles and other affected business to petition city hall.
  3. Fishing the flats in Fort Meyer Florida in April and then two trips to Montana planned this year. Knocking a few off the bucket list.
  4. I fished that stream many times. I agree it was a bit of a bust last summer however I think they were mostly pushed lower into bigger water which did fish well last summer. By the end of the season things had improved up stream.
  5. Yup love them. Great when you have been drinking a lot of coffee
  6. I love parachute ants in the fall on small streams....Fun and fast to tie. I also love tie and fish small 20 BWO or PMD
  7. Looks like it would have been great water to fish. Good luck with those things buggering it up...
  8. Jets on the Bow are just a bad idea in or out of city limits. The river is too small, with too many people in it. You can see the shore erode with muddy shorelines as they rip by. I for one would like higher fines for jetting in the city.
  9. Been replenishing my midge inventory.....
  10. If you are going to have an uninvited guest it helps if she is good looking...One pretty fish this time of year. Carp on the other hand not so much....
  11. I am a fan of Sage and have several rods, however I just got an old TFO rod fixed for free because they felt it was a flaw in the rod construction itself (reel seat came loose)... Thier normal fee is 35 i believe. I was impressed.
  12. Thanks guys. I appreciate the info.
  13. Bummer. We were planning to launch there Saturday for a two day float. No way to get a drift boat in there full of camping gear even if we walk the boats out eh?
  14. Once a year I usually take my wife for a float. She has arthritis and isn't highly mobile. The biggest hazard for her is getting in and out of the boat and slipping on a wet rock. Once in the boat all is well. If you do take her, you might want to have both you and the guide help her in and out. Slip and falling I'd definitely something to aviod while pregnant.
  15. Great pics, great times...
  16. Pretty good but didn't take me into the backing. In the summer, he would have been put up a hell of a fight I'm sure...
  17. Wow surprised there is a launch at Police. Looked like a total write off. Any news on Glenmore?
  18. I picked this guy up in April during a float with BiggyJ Good times....
  19. I spent two days on smaller streams last week in southern Alberta. Fishing was pretty good with fat healthy fish caught. My friends had similar luck.
  20. I was up at the Lake Louise lodge and was happy to find they carried "Rutting Elk" from the Grizzly Paw in Canmore.
  21. I went down to FC launch today. Surprised to see it wasn't in to bad of shape. If fact I'm sure I could launch mt drift boat without an issue. That said I also went to Police. Totally distroyed. River access is going to be a real issue for a very long time....
  22. Any update on Glenmore or Police launch?
  23. I have a Hyde Pro High side. While I love the boat for the river, drift boats with their flat bottom and no keel aren't really meant for a lake especially if it gets windy....I think you would be disappointed it you do a lot of lake fishing.
  24. Imovie if you are an Apple man....
  25. I'm looking for a landscaping company to put in some drainage tiles level my back yard and a few other minor things. No idea how to find a good company. Any recommendations would be welcome. Thanks
