Avalanche, Nomad and I went out last night to fish a nearby creek... I picked up 14 beer cans and 2 bottles out of one spot alone (oh and an recent fire ring, as well)!! WTF! No wonder landowners aren't too keen on people accessing the water from their land!! Sheesh! P

Colin, Inbetween concrete slabs, between slabs and garage, and between sidewalk and fence (landscape fabric, white rock and small pavers for potted plants) and between sidewalk and fence (gravel)... Will try vinegar but most of it's in the shade and then the Round up if that doesn't work... Thanks everyone. P

Ok so I need to kill some grass, weeds, flowers, etc. along the fence and walkway... What's gonna work that is available at Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, etc.? Also, no personal "opinions" on the environmental debate of using herbicides, etc. Please! I've heard "Round Up" will work, but I thought it was just for weeds... Thanks, Peter

Interesting Rick (not agreeing/disagreeing with you)... This is a little bit of an "aside"... A buddy of mine (grew up with him here in Calgary) who moved to NYC (Brooklyn) a few years ago was here a couple of weeks back and he couldn't believe how expensive restaurants are here!! He happen to mention that restaurants in SOHO (very trendy upscale area in NYC for those who don't know) are 1/2 the cost of restaurants here!! P

Rob, I use a BIG cow bell actually (what I'm referring to is the dinky little bells that MEC sells - which I can bearly hear myself [pun intended], but I am getting old LoL!)! I keep it in the tent at night... If something's rustling outside in the middle of the night, that's when I use it!! I had it dangling from my pack once coming down from (South) Molar Pass a few years ago and the people that were coming up said that they could here it from below... Doubt they would have heard one of the dinky little ones... P

Realtively speaking... Edmonton has WAY more "Culture" ("cultural" type celebrations) then Calgary, for sure! But Alberta (Calgary) compared to other cities/provinces... We're definitely lacking! If you've even been to "Caravan" in Toronto... Now that a cultural celebration!! P
