  1. I guess the migration north is on! I'm sure the conversation went something lke this... "Hey Joe" "Hey Frank" "How was the trip?! "Oh fine, but coming over Montana , you know that last 200 Km... I hate that last stretch... The wind in that section is killer." " Yeah I hear, ya!" I keep thinking to myself... Why the hell do we come at this time of year... The weather is so frick'in unpredictable!!"... P
  2. Brad... Not totally sure of this, but who would use a 3 wt rod for salt water fly fishing?! I'm sure people do... But seems a little light... I totally get it, this reel is bomber!! Nonetheless, there are numerous (high quality and similarly priced) reels on the market that are (also) made for salt water use that are WAYYYYYY lighter for line weights heavier then 5 wt/6 wt. As I mentioned before everyone has their own preference. My comment was that it seemed a little heavy, that's all... Cheers, P
  3. Damn straight! P
  4. The 3 seems a tad bit heavy IMO at 5 oz. For that price I'd think they'd lighten it up some... I guess it's personal preference as well, whatever balances the (your) rod... P
  5. Simple... Don't order it direct from Orvis then! P
  6. This was on CBC a few weeks ago, here's an excerpt: http://www.cbc.ca/thedebaters/media/clip_piecake.mp3
  7. Nice find! P *Edit" By the by, I request "birthday pie" every year! Which is tough seeing that my fave is peach, and it's very difficult to find a decent peach in May!! LoL
  8. @ $800 +, I'd be keeping it with me (plus it's a great conversation starter on the elevator - especially if you are all geared up with waders and all! LoL ). P
  9. I wouldn't be keeping your rod (or anything else for that matter) in my vehicle after some of the reports on here recently regarding vehicles getting broken into... It's way too much of a hassle on the back end if in fact if it was stolen!! But each to his or her own, I guess! P
  10. Not sure if this is the size you are looking for... http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-sp...QAdIdZ191620475

  16. A colleague is looking at getting a retaining wall built... Anyone on here do this type of work or can recommend someone?! Thanks, P
  17. Glad I don't drink, nor like "Bud"!!
  18. 4 - 5 cars last Tuesday (late afternoon) were broken into in our neighborhood. A few days before that, the neighborhood daycare was broken into (early morning) and the week before that the neighbor behind us got cleaned out, and the cornerstore broken into that same evening... Pretty interesting since it's been realtively safe and secure for the past 11 years since I've lived in the neighborhood!! Damn that Druh Farrell for closing our local library!! Punks got nothing better to do, I guess. LoL There you go Don, this is where all the kids are, these days!! P
  19. There is a breeder that breeds labs specific for hunting down near Pincher Creek. Don't know details but can try to find out more info for you if you'd like... P
  20. Not free replacement with TFO it's $35 + GST (per section), plus shipping if you are out of town... *Edit* sorry Tim, you beat me to it!!
  21. Don't you mean "Expert"!! LoL
  22. 1st misspelling hypocrisy and now "Though" ("Thought")! You're not at the top of your game tonight, are you?! Must be all those ethical dilemmas confusing your brain, eh!! LoL P
