  1. Apparently she contacted Mike via Facebook and he responded. Said he would set up something for her this summer... Maybe get a hold of him through Facebook?!
  2. Gang, I wanted to share an update with you all. So I heard from my colleague at work who purchased a gift certificate before Christmas and she followed-up with Mike via Facebook. Apparently he’s followed up with her and says he will do something for her ( I don’t have the details yet), and I’m hoping that he does ( no reason to think otherwise at this point)... I will keep you all informed on the details when I speak with her. P
  3. I will look at the survey when I have more time, and participate. I'll be sure to comment on mandating a classified system for non residents and increase enforcement (and limiting/eliminating random camping, OHV an resource development use for that area - as that is how I feel, others feel differently, I realize), if there is an opportunity to do so... P
  4. Awesome post Jason! Thanks!! I guess that’s why Atlantic’s are called the fish of a thousand casts!! I would say you have several hundred more casts!! I presume speaking French is a must?! Cheers, P
  5. Yes I just had a colleague at work tell me that she bought her husband a gift certificate for Christmas for a learn to fly fish day. I hope there is some way to honour those!
  6. Marc, what do you do for leveling out if you park in uneven ground? Just curious? P
  7. In some (most) ways, yeah! At least there will be a level of control. Where as now, it’s a free for all *hit show with little to no respect for the area!!
  8. Jason, don't worry about it, now you get pee in your waders and not have to drop your waders nor spend money on some zip fronts!!
  9. What ever the Patagonia ones are ... I think that's what they are. FYI https://www.hatchmag.com/blog/tip-stop-grossly-overpaying-wading-boot-studs/771153
  10. This is what I was saying with the Patagonia ones... They work well, but don't last long (I got a bit longer life from the Simms - but still not worth the $ in my opinion). The other issue is the hole that they make - you will end up losing anything else you might use in the future (KK or Simms) b/c they have a smaller diameter thread... So if you buy 100 pack, then you can swap out as they wear. Definitely better value buying from a Hardware store. Might get better life from KK or the MEC ones?
  11. Looks like they streamlined it a bit taking away some of the features. I like the older style...
  12. Mike, hit "Unread content"! I think the leader board is for all the millennial gamers on here to make them feel loved!
  13. I'm trying to decided between the Kold Kutters and these (https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5053-086/Boot-Traction-Stud-Kit). I like the thread pattern of the MEC ones, but I think the downside is the hole they would create would limit using something else if one wanted to replace a lost stud with say a Kold Kutter... I have used both the Patagonia (aluminum hex screws) and Simms hard bite studs. The Patagonia wear out pretty quickly (not worth the $ money they charge when you can go to Home Depot and buy the exact same thing - thank goodness for prodeals) and the Simms are just too expensive and pretty much last one season of hard use (a lot of similar feedback online)!! LOVED the Lugs that I bought with my gen 1 Korker Guide boots those were awesome!! Thoughts/opinions?
  14. Yes, it was quite heavenly, wasn't it!!
  15. Had an EPIC day down south with BigBowTrout today. Great to have the water to ourselves https://instagram.com/p/BZSEPpLhtMw/
  16. Anyone have any advice on how to keep it from drying out? Store it in a Ziploc? Keep it in the Freezer? Any tricks? Thanks, P
  17. Cool Curtis, and then you can return my water bottle P P.S I have 4 would you like them all?
  18. Anyone know of local (regional) fly line recycling? There are a few places that repurpose online, but they are in the States... I'm changing a bunch of lines and would like not to just throw out the old.. Thanks, Peter
  19. Know both well though haven't been to the first in over 10 years and the 2nd one we were in there 5 or so years ago. Both are great but the 2nd sees way less people (hence the size of the fish!!)!! Thanks for sharing. Great photos! Cheers, P
  20. If that's the net you were using on Tuesday, let me know what you find, as I require the exact same... Thanks, P
  21. For anyone that is interested and available, the Riverwatch Program (http://www.riverwatch.ab.ca) is looking for a few more seasonal staff for the fall in Calgary (contact direct). Peter P.S. I have no affiliation with this program, but a friend of mine who is a guide asked me to pass along this info (I do happen to think this is an AWESOME program).
