  1. Yup same up North... It usually happens around this time of year from what I remember... P
  2. Wow! You put the Greens a head of the "L"'s!! LoL Nice!! P
  3. Not to continue the hijack.... But... So Rick, what do you do when the fish is flipping and flopping around?! You want to get a quick photo, but sometimes it's moving around so much if you gripped it like you suggest, it would be on the rocks or back in the water?! P *Edit* Rick, just invite me out with you one of these days and show me!! LoL!!
  4. Nice work, though both you and I need a lesson or two on how to hold fish for photos!! LoL Peter
  5. Rick, you should have called me, Deb and I would have come for dinner!! LoL Great stories! P
  6. Mike, I have had the same problem recently with some "Skid Bitches" I purchased online... Makes sense as to why the fish were hitting the fly, but not getting hooked... Thanks, P
  7. I purchased Thule racks at Crappy Tire before so check out online to see if they are still selling Thule (you can check store availability. P
  8. I rememebr Don Anderson saying that he found (hooked) a dead body on a similar thread a while back!!
  9. Phew, I was worried you were gonna say how you used the tampons!! LoL P P.S. Dropped my headlamp and pouch in Invincible Creek last weekend so it's proably floating around Upper Kananaskis lake by now!!
  10. Are there going to be different catagories, i.e., landscape, with fish in, people without fish in, etc.? Or just one? P
  11. Mine says I have a huge ego and that I am a pretentious and pompous prick!! LoL Really I'm not!! But like to be unique and I think using an umlaut is Über (super) kewl and unique (and a bit pretentious)!! Peter P.S. Don't need any further comments/opinions Rick!!
  12. I happen to think it's a great article!! From someone that eats tofu!! LoL!! Thanks Rick!! P
  13. Ryan, I'll send you my e-mail via PM and we'll chat... FYI, were heading out again for a backpacking trip in two weeks so you might be able to tag along if it works out.. Not sure where at this point, but... P
  14. Ryan, are you looking for a day trip or over night? What kind of shape are you in (out of 10)? Do you have any backcountry exp. (out of 10)? FYI, the harder you work to get into some lakes the bigger the reward. Are you looking at casting from shore or using a tube. There are a few references on the site from the last few months. If you can get a hold of "Fly Fishing the Canadian Rockies" by Joey Ambrosi, it is a great reference even though the info is some what dated. Also I think the "Outdoor Alberta" site has some fishing specific info on it, but I've complained to the site mods about their fishing handling and photo posting and they have done nothing about it, but that dosen't surprise me!! :$*%&: :$*%&: Contact me directly if you want any more info, I'd be happy to share some (not all) of it with you... Cheers, Peter
  15. Wolfie, Didn't you write in a previous post something about sicking your pet wolf onto someone?! LoL What does that say... Hmmm!! P P.S. <kidding>
  16. Brad, my point is that scenarios such as the character "Dexter" more specifically, the flashbacks of of his childhood (as well as Charles Manson, and many others) are in fact a reality (my G/F is a psychologist and has a few clients that are sociopaths) and all have a history of animal abuse when they are children... Like you stated... P
  17. Ever watch "Dexter".... Nuff said!! P
  18. I think you got it!! http://www.lostguidetours.com/main.html
  19. Maybe in the Highwood... At or above treeline... Pickle Jar?! Maybe LOH, Loomis or Burns?! P
  20. Any "True" outdoors person, (read, non-RVing or gorbie type) knows the score!! P P.S. Steve, I thought I was making a fashion statement!!
  21. Or check out the Bow River Reports thread! P
  22. Lornce, I have tried this too, but it can be dicey if the leak is quite high up and that's a lot of water to try and hold up!! Spraying rubbing COOH works really well as the youtube vid suggests. Sealing the inside of the wader is the way to go unless you want your waders to show a bit of character... P
  23. Andy I'm trying to somewhat environmental, not cheap!! Sheesh! P
  24. Thanks Terry, but my pref would be not to buy another plastic container and thought it might just come in a small bag or something... Though their Blue Ribbon Powder states on the label that it's silica?! P
  25. Not the acutal beads of silica gel (yeah can get that from old electronics)... The powder! Or is the powder just ground up beads?! If so, I could always use a mortar and pestle and make my own... P
