  8. A good friend of mine's partner (both are Mtn Guides out of Golden) was attacked by a griz this summer. He was lucky to only receive 20 sutures!! The photos were brutal!! So it does happen!! P
  9. Nice work Crazy! P
  10. Yeah it's city ordinance, but I'm not sure if the Federal one supersedes the city one... Any lawyer, cop, CO, bylaw officer on the board want to clear it up?! P
  11. Yup, Colin is your man! P
  12. Due to work and family commitments, neither Rick (Rickr) nor myself will be able to continue with the execution of the Bow River Clean up activities for this summer. If there is anyone else that is able to assist with this please contact me and I will pass along the appropriate documents. We apologize for the late notice... Peter & Rick
  13. Rick, sadly, I think you're getting old and slowing down a bit!! P
  14. Yeah I hear ya Chris... Some people just won't get it, either way... Our tax dollars are paying for those verbal and written warnings!! I say, what about "cost recovery"?! :$*%&: :$*%&: P
  15. Stephen, There are a few holes around Prince's Island but way better places to fish on the lower (Calgary) section in and arouund Fish Creek. Drop me a PM when you get to town and if I'm available I can show you a few spots. Cheers, Peter
  16. Yeah, try a new type of knot and see if that helps better then wasting a whole spool... Just my $0.02 worth! P
  17. Cranston!! Contact the resident expert RickR. He'll show you the ropes of reading/fishing the water in that area... It just might be at 0500 in the morning, however

  21. So I says to her, I says... Honey, it's way to nice out to sit inside and watch TV tonight... Let's go fishing (and she said, sure!!). So my girlfriend (Deb) caught her first Bow river brown down at Fish Creek tonight (2nd fish ever on the fly!). (She was having trouble holding it so we put it on the grass for a total of 5 seconds - before any of you say anything)... She wants to go again!! Yeehaw!! P
  22. I use all three and in the summer quite possibly all at the same time (with the backpack on the bank). For my chest packs, I've put a plastic grommet on the neck strap so I can attach my net's carabiner (also use a magnetic keeper). In the "off season" (late fall, winter, early spring) I just use the chest pack and back pack (food, coffee, extra clothes, etc.) P
  23. Rich, Roger that! Canyon Creek is downstream of Elbow Falls and Upstream of Bragg Creek! P
  24. I've mentioned this before... A buddy looked at them last year and the pair he tried on had 2 left feet... Nuff said!! P
