I've pounded a bunch of nice Trout outta the Bow on the mouse, Usually after dark tho, so they may have hit anything...I've casted to hogs close to the banks in the daylight and got some good looks, but never a hit in broad daylight..pike on the other hand...lol...they like mice...

One I tied w/ Caribou, csn pack it real tight, but its short so your limited to "baby" mice..

your fullness will come from how tight you pack it, I use the middle/lower section of the hairs as they are more ridged, pack tight & start trimming, you'll be suprised on how dense you can get that mouse, it'll float like wood..

I have a 8lb hammer that will have that baby back in focus in no time..sorry Lynn..look at the bright side, you get to go shopping.

If your doing it right, the first thing that will come to mind is...what a friggin waste of hair...spinin' Caribou for Bombers was my first disipline for tying..not as tricky as some stuff..but, the shaping can be less forgiving..take your time with the sissors...

so I've been mucking around on e-bay for that super great deal on that super great rod .. with little sucess When a rod is sold to a retailer (fly shop, whatever) is the serial number entered into a system as where it was sold and that rod "tracked" for warrenty purposes and so on? The reason I ask is I have a screamin' deal on a few high end "used" (shop demos) rods, but the deal is "no warrenty" How do they track it?? would it be worth it w/o warrenty a few 4 pc SLT's @ 100 bucks a piece ?

I believe one day the rules in Alberta will tighten up to that effect .. realize that the places DDF speaks of have been fished for hundreds of years by a population Western Canada cannot fathom. Im sure the rules in those areas were quite different 100 years ago .. but for now we get the "good/easy" fishing
