  1. Awesome pics Brett, sounds like you and the guys had a sweet trip..love that first one of the Bullies under the ledge, reminds me of fishing Salmon back home...
  2. I released a sea gull below Dickson dam tangled in some mono that was stuck in the rocks on bottom..he never squirmed a bit or was hostile in any way..he just let me cut off the line, untangle him and he floated away.
  3. I use an old vise, saves the jaws on my tying vise, and it does a great job..I have had "quality" hooks that i have purchased from a fly shop break off after using my hemos to flatten the barb...I tie with Mustad, Tiemco & Daiichi hooks
  4. 50% - Depends where, in the mountains somewhere - always - but if your fishing the Bow in the city or even downstream from it..you'll spend your day picking trash rather than fishing..I still do pick trash of the Bow in the city..but you have to be much more tolerant .. and try to realize your fishing a city river .. organized clean ups are the best way to get bulk trash out
  5. my TiCr 7wt 4 pc does not have an original piece, with each section being replaced once. broken tip playing in the trees, eye came off second section, and I stepped on the bottom pieces (don't ask). 4 X 26.50 = 104.00 ... less than half the price of the rod, I think its a good value rod and the service for warrenty is unbeatable.. ..Im waiting for warrenty on a Sage right now..
  6. That School of flyfishing looks pretty cool
  7. Im not the graphic arts type of guy so if anyone is..give 'er
  8. LOL>>>>>
  9. not much of anything when it comes to design..but i think something simple would work well.
  10. I find it easier to reach over my shoulder and grab the handle..but see alot of guys packing them handle down..with the magnet set up I'd imagine the chance of loosing your net would increase as well. either way i guess, I don't use my net very much anyway, for measuring mostly.
  11. Killer Bully dude..10 min not excessive for a fish of that caliber..good on ya
  12. Bring my little Jack Russell-cross fishing sometimes, she's pretty good now, but was'nt at first, always barking at me casing the line thinking its for her to play with, but after a few outings and a bit of yellin' she calmed down..at first I use to bring her to really open place like below Dickson dam or by the Weir in Carseland to get he use to things..now I can pretty much take her anywhere..I have her on her leash until I know there is nobody around for her to bother (she loves new people)..then I let he off and she never wanders far...
  13. no motor restrictions on Swan Lake, unless it has changed recently.

If your buying a new pontoon out of the US..Its gonna be damn near impossible to get it across duty free..a used one or through a personal seller of e-bay or somthing may get by..know anybody in the US?..get them to buy it and mail it to you..tough for high priced items to get past duty..from my experience anyway..
  15. 30, going on 19..although some days my body reminds me of reality...
  16. The good stuff goes quickly..probably gone already..but still worth a look, Ive always liked the FH sales
  17. or if ya got a bunch, dunk them all in a cup of boiling water .. ..
  18. Hoodie XXL .. and a couple stickers
  19. Customs can be a strange deal..Like Pacres said, label it as fishing material, and in a few different smaller packages in case they decide to take a peek..I'd imagine they may open one package but I can't see no reason it should'nt get through...
  20. Way to go Dad..!!
  21. quiet reel is the best..hate the zzzzzzzzing..why draw attention to yourself, only to have a guy stood in your spot tomorrow..
  22. The only one I've attended is on the Oldman near Ft.Macloud, Usually held on the thanksgiving long weekend. Been a few times, great time, good place to meet good people and the kids always have a blast.
  23. Ive seen similar stuff on the Bow, fish get so use to people, the smart ones know there is nothing to fear..Whities are ridiculous when it comes to that sort of thing..move slow though the water or on the banks, you'll be amazed at the fish you'll see or near step on..
  24. I'd say your ok if you leave it all in the trunk..out of sight out of mind..I use to live in the city and left my stuff in the backseat of my truck all the time in the back alley..never an incident..
  25. HA HA HA HA HA ... jackass ...
