  1. There was a drunk walking down the street, he walks up to a cop and says "Man, somebody stole my car." Cop asks him "Well, where was it?" Drunk says, "It was right on the end of this key.." Cop says, "I don't know, why don't you go down to the precinct house and report it there, they'll fill out all the proper forms." Drunk says "Ok", and starts to walk off. Cop says to him "Before you head downtown you'd better zip up your fly" Drunk look down and says, "Aw man, they got my girl too..."
  2. The missing lower limbs would put the alluded to body part considerably closer to the floor......
  3. Awesome bull..
  4. That beats the hell out of the "Cat slammed in the trunk" one for sure..
  5. That is proof of the stupidity that has befallen the human race.
  6. I took a few range management courses in school, I was always surprised by how little attention was given to water supply by alot of people. Both in terms of damage by livestock to the supply, be it stream, dugout, etc. and the effects it had on the animals as a result. We always watered from dugouts, but would limit access to where cows could only access what they needed to drink. Free access to water usually ends up with animals defecating in it, wrecking any stability in the banks, and therefore making their own supply a possible source of sickness. (Not to mention, in the case of streams, other ecosystems.) I always felt streams should be treated the same way, for obvious reasons. We never had any on our land, but I read of many guys ways of limiting water access and therefore damage. I had an instructor named Jim Stone who did water system setup design using solar power, etc. Smart guy. As for buffalo, definitely a more efficient animal in many ways. General disease tolerance, feed efficiency, calving ease, etc. Can be hard on fences though..
  7. Lol...
  8. Backspooled a MIG welder a bit ago, got about 10 feet of wire that may work for Copper Johns, not sure how flexible it'll be though..
  9. Michael's is a goldmine.. Acres of foam in many colors, beads, peacock feathers cheapo, and many stares from middle aged women probably questioning my sexual orientation when they see me with an armload of the aforementioned... As for pheasant tails, get lots during bird season, perhaps I'll post when I get a bunch more if anyone's interested.
  10. I think I'd say I prefer around 3-4 " Woolly Buggers on 8-10 hooks.. Shouldn't be too big in my experience. Bigger obviously for larger bulls (Yes, I know not what you meant) but size being entirely dependent on head type, weight on shank, etc, so it stays proportional. I've been surprised a few times by the size of trout (Bows, Cutts) I've caught on streamers meant for larger fish. Big clousers and Bunnies have caught me average fish a few times... Pike on the other hand, have caught em small on hooks almost their own size as well numerous times.
  11. Sarcasm is so poorly conveyed in writing ...
  12. I was thinking Citrus/Levy/Marion ??
  13. I don't even waste the trip out there before runoff's subsided. Usually the first couple weeks in July at the earliest. I'm also a firm believer that the entire area out there is unsafe. And accordingly, everyone else should stay away...
  14. I remember hearing that... I believe someone drowned in Racehorse last year wasn't it?
  15. Nice pics fellas..
  16. That's a new one.. Rarely even heard that mentioned, let alone wanting to catch one. Deep sea fishers have netted what, a handful, in like the last 50 years that have been confirmed.. Interesting.
  17. Thanks man. Been doing a bit of research, I kind of prefer firsthand info. Looks you guys are having a good trip..
  18. Nice pics.. A few questions.. I was in NZ a few years ago, I think since they've brought in GST? (I know Aus. has). What are fuel prices, etc? Peak times as far as fishing, (I've heard Feb.-Mar. or so?) That sort of thing.. I know exchange is favourable (1 CAD= 1.40 NZ?)
  19. Awesome..
  20. All my relatives say they have a hard time with that dialect.. Went through there, some pretty interesting spots. Never made it to The Hague though.
  21. You'd think someone would check that beforehand..
  22. Your family from Friesland?
