  1. Well thanks guys and gals for the feed back. Think I'll try and make it down... sounds like a good time. As an aside, can anybody point out where I can find out about the hourly seminars being offered at this years show. I can't seem to find them on the web site other than the two hour sessions you pay for. Cheers Pheasantnut
  2. Was wondering what your thoughts were about the fly fishing expo held in Calgary. Never been and was considering making a trip down from Edmonton to check it out. Any good deals to be had? Did you find the show informative, or is it just a bunch of lodges promoting themselves. Cheers Pheasantnut
  3. just wondering what everybody's favourite emerger patterns for the bow are? Cheers
  4. Dad and I used to go on our father son fishing trips for a week during hte summer. WOuld head up to the Findlay creek drainage past Raduim hot springs and we would camp and fly fish for a week chasing cutthroats and bulls around. Did that from the time I was about 7yrs old or so. Best childhood memories by far. The cutties were never any bigger then 8 - 10 inchers but tons of fun. High school and university were spent skulking around the bow. Surprised I even graduated given the amount of time I spent on the river.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys, so if I got a three and over lined it with a 4 wt line would that help with the wind ya figure?....Cheers and any suggestions on which 3 weights to look at....thanks again.
  6. Currently have a 5 wt as my all purpose rod, but it seems way to big for when I go fishing for grayling. Was thinking about getting a lighter weight rod but don't know whether to get a 3 wt or a 4 wt. Any suggestions or opinions? Was wondering if a 3 wt would have enough spine to do the job with out playing the fish out too long. Thanks for the imput...Cheers Pheasantnut
  7. Thanks boys appreciate the local knowledge...............Cheers Andrian
