Marshall Pond (which is a lake). Got some really nice smallies with catatonic leeching Those smallies fight like the devil, lots of jumping & tail-walking. The water in rivers & lakes is all tea coloured, but vis is pretty good despite. Lotsa snapping turtles too, so you gotta watch your toes!

I went to Maine for 7 days to visit my GF's folks. Got out to fish a few times & had some luck in both rivers & lakes, although I didn't get to spend the kind of hours I might have liked to. Had a great time & seeing new waters is always so interesting. Some cool bug life too, some new bugs for me. I hope you like the pics. View of the Little Androscogin river - netted one brown on a #18 Griffith's, & missed tons of strikes. A cool looking black caddis, I've never seen one before. Very small, & TONS of them out.

I'd go 4-5 wt. More capacity & it will provide you with more flexibility in my opinion. It's what I have on my 4wt.

Too true, it helps to have more concerned folks on the river turning these guys in. It's almost an unwinnable venture, but every little bit helps. Many thanks to all those who have turned in the offenders.

You must be confusing me with someone below him. Although I am afar at the moment, the trusty internet cafe still lets me keep an eye on things. I would propose an ulktimate posting caged grude match with SJW, but I already know how that would turn out. Someone would lose, someone would end up crying or with a skinned knee & I don't want to be responsible for either.

Go with TFO Signature series rod & Pfleuger Trion reel. Both good quality and cheap, and TFO warranty is for life. I actually got a TFO as a back-up rod in case I broke my Orvis (which I have), and I actually prefer casting the TFO, and it was less than half the price of the Orvis. Ditto the Trion. Can't go wring IMO.

Poor Dodger. At least he tries. I like the New FF, I like it's format & music & instructional slant. I kinda think Mark Krupa is manic depressive. I'd hate to see him on an off day.
