Hawg, you ever fish the Moyie anywhere between Moyie & the border? It looks so nice (& isn't classified) I wonder how it fishes. I get out that way a fair bit & haven't fished it yet. Same with the Goat near Creston.

My strike indicator is a rare helium-filled Creston Crab Apple. Only sold at Big Willy's Crab Apple & Fly Emporium. It's a trailer near Yahk. It's right beside Rockin' Mel's Rock Pile.

How about a contest to see who can catch a fish fly fishing with their opposite hand? For example, if you cast with your right hand, you have to cast with your left. (So we'll all look like we throw like a girl - no offense). This would CERTAINLY level the playing field, and we'd all look a lot less cool than we might think now. I already don't look very cool, so I have nothing to lose. I also have the fly-fisher farmer tan already in full swing, so attracting chicks is far from a possibility. I think my lady secretly thanks me for this each day. Oh, and we also all have to dress like Austin Powers. First one to get any fish at all wins.

Aw forgetit, let's just do the B & B contest. Best damn idea this year. I don't even care if I win. Or place. Or show. As long as somebody shows.

How 'bout best fish caught on least likely fly - like something that shouldn't normally work. Or we just all get together & judge the boobs & butt contest. Which I will of course enter, & if not win, then certainly place or show. Back to the first idea, for example, we could all have to purchase the Red Wolf multi-pack of rediculously crappy flies at Canadian Tire & actually fish them - best fish wins. We certainly can't have a Bow contest, as Toolman or Max will get my prize. (Sorry SJW). Besides, if I have a chance at winning I either have to have better boobs than Lynn or a better butt than Troutbabe, both of which I at least have a chance at..........(grin).

Here's my leetle friend from Lower K yesterday. He fight big. I win. I call him El Toro.

Very sad news indeed, and condolences to the families. We have all ben young and stupid. Wiers are death, no two ways about it. I was fishing the Lower K at interlakes yesterday, and the spillway was closed. Some young guy was FLY fishing right at the very foot of the gates in the little pool there for SUCKERS. I saw them with my polarized glasses clear as day. I told him to get the heck away from there, as you never know when they open the gates & he wouldn't even have time to get out of the way. He just laughed. I then told him he was fly-fishing for suckers & he just ignored me. Then the CO came, checked him & told him the same things. He got a ticket for something, I'm not sure what. Anyhow, he fished there all day (thank God the gates never opened) & didn't even get his sucker. At least he got to live.

No need to wade, shore fishing is good. Drop leech patterns under an indicator and vary your depths until you find the fish. They can be both shallow & deep.

Hey PeteZa, Which guy were you? I was there with my buddy & we were both in those big hats chucking leeches. I was mostly on the west side of the channel. I got 4 bulls & a rainbow (nice one) and a sucker that was foul-hooked. Like you said, it was crowded, no wind (unusual) and slow. Did you slip & fall on the rocks on the east side? I think I saw you there. Anyhow, glad you got into some fish.

Nice fish. Those Bows in there are some kinds big. I've seen them up to 30" there. Those pics are good, funny though every time I fish there I make the water so muddy that I can't even see my feet in a foot of water for the 'in-water' pics! Gotta love that lake. I think that it will be getting more and more challenging to get fish in there as the summer progresses.
