I agree - also see their newest one, the Summit large arbor. I have 3 & love 'em. I don't think they're available everywhere yet, but good value & great reel.

Pfleuger Trion or Summit. Both excellent reels. Trion is a mid-arbor and the Summit is a large arbor. The summit is very new and may not be available everywhere. BTW, Trion, Summit & Orvis Battenkill are all made of the same alloy aluminum, so I wouldn't call one more durable than the other (with regard to these 3 examples). PM me for more info on a new line of reels.

Nice, very nice. If you think about it, all you have to do is have it move in with you for 6 months & then you can leave & take half of it with you.

Think of the tremendously valuable lesson you have just learned. FFing is not all like it shows in the movies! You can fall in the river, catch trees, hook yourself (see friend) all kinds of good stuff. This is just a taste, although a painful one. A splitshot to the head or ear or back can smart like the devil also. I recommend double-hauling a 3-nymph rig with 2 splits in winter with a howling wind , just to see how many different ways you can smack yourself. When you're done, we'll compare scores - I'm not telling yet! Too bad about no cake, sorry brother.
