  1. Actually this one might be a good fit for you. http://www.westernsportfishing.ca/order_dvd.htm
  2. I like Phil Rowley and Brian Chans videos on Stillwaters. They have more of a focus on fly ying than you may be looking for though.
  3. That would be cool. Thanks Rick. I've got lots of warmwater lines, so that should be good. Thanks for the other links guys and the info on saltwater and reel compatibility. Living in Alberta for so long it just doesn't cross your mind often lol.
  4. Does anyone have experiance fishing in Maui? I'll be heading there in a couple months and I'm finding it difficult to get much info. I'd love to see a few new exotic specis on a fly and so I would be looking at fishing the ocean. (Also no licence is required for the ocean I've read) I would also like to fish some of the rivers if possible. One question about the salt on gear. Do you need saltwater gear, or could you just clean your freshwarer gear well after fishing?
  5. no, but when i go to tie outside the house I usually pick 2-3 patterns and put together the materials for each in a zip lock.

    Help

Mayfly nymph Looks like a decent pattern.
  7. That is sweet. I love the idea of adding some power, and the longer tray.
  8. Thanks for the announcement, I wish I could make it out. I added the event to the calendar as well.

C-clamp is preferred because it doesn't move on me. Actually my Mongoose came with both the pedestal base and the c-Clamp, and I only use the pedestal when I can't clamp onto a table top. I like the added height adjustment you gain with the c=clamp. The pedestal only allows for a fixed height.
  10. I second the use of Kevlar. You can get a few different colours, but I usually use black. Use some old scissors to cut it as it dulls blades.
  11. Great set of flies tyers.
  12. Make sure you are logged in to view the pictures.
  13. If you have reels lined up, pack them in your luggage as the will not let you on with the line.
  14. No otter either.
  15. Looks spot on. 6 months eh... lol
  16. Just a quick update on the pool. I have 4 sets of flies so far and a few donations for Casting for recovery. (Lundvike, your flies arrived yesterday) If anyone else is sending flies for the pool, send me a PM for an address. Here are the standings as of this morning.

    Cuba Si!

    Nice Fish Clive!
  18. PM me your address and I'll have them check it. The next issue should be out soon.
  19. the next one is 5,2 and it should e out very soon.
  20. You need to change your settings yourself. Goto My Controls, on the left hand side choose the Board Settings Menu item. Set your Base Time Zone to GMT - 7hours, assuming that is your correct time zone and check off the DST correction checkbox. If you have problems setting the time, send me a PM.
  21. Hey Tako, this is for you. Wear glover too.
  22. Get yourself some wire tippet. For my pike set-up I use some 20lb leader material and about 2' of wire tippet. I've tried straight heavy mono and fluoro and just end up losing flies to the sharps.
  23. Both good, but I've had more time on the Optio WPi (go for a WPi rahter than the WR, water Proof vs water resistant). it has a great Macro setting on it. The shock value of the Olympus is a pretty good thing to have. We had a demo and dropped it a number of times with no ill effects.
  24. Tha's Awesome! Good luck at the games!
  25. Not this year, but I did win a few things a couple years back. A little depth finder for my float tube.
