Golfman09 Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I've seen a few Canuck fans on here, we need a place to vent here too. Lets show all of these wanna be teams what the nucks' are about. Quote
lethfisher Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I was born and lived in Vancouver until I was 6. I then moved to central BC so I am happy to call myself a Canucks fun. I was pretty happy when Sundin moved to Vancouver haha I was also stoked when Calgary picked up Bertuzzi, he was sooo good in Vancouver before the incident. Right now I am watching them destroy the Blackhawks, it's 6 - 0 with 8min to go in the 2nd. The announcer just said "Stop the senseless slaughter!!" haha Quote
Golfman09 Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 The Blackhawks are really taking a beating tonight....senseless penalties and the Canucks are getting some good breaks with all of the pressure they are getting. Nice to see the Canucks get things going a little bit. Quote
bhurt Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 Vancouver still 8 pts behind calgary and only 1 pts ahead of Min. and edm Quote
lethfisher Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I'll be the first to say that they suck haha They used to be decent though... Its a good thing they have Luongo otherwise they would be tanking. Quote
Jeffro Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 All I can say is that I am glad we put a couple in the win column. Was getting a little scary for a while there. Missed the game due to prior committments, but sure wish I could have seen the bashing. I got to see Chicago bash a few other teams in the NW recently, would've figured people would be happy to see them lose lol. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Not really. I'd have been happy to see them crush everyone... Can we get the person who started this nuck's thread banned for life??? Quote
Golfman09 Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Hey now....we're all entitled to our opinions.....as crazy as they might seem! Especially in years like this....ouch. Unless things change a whole bunch they won't have many of the players looking like this...... Quote
rehsifylf Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Vancouver is on an amazing streak of luck. That second goal tonight is a 1:10 goal that burrows even hits the puck, let alone it goes right at the corner of the net. Quote
Golfman09 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 It was quite a tip in by Burrows......how bout Sundin roofing it in the shootout! I'm not sure who I should cheer for in the Flames/Oilers game. Be nice to see the Canucks reel the Flames in but Edmonton trying to creep into a spot as well. Actually, I wouldn't mind to see the Oilers in there as well and as long as the Canucks keep on their streak......Cole just scored.....go Oil go...... Quote
Highlander Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 how's sundin working out so far? Quite nicely!!! It's nice to have a Canucks thread on here, but I wouldn't like to see a Leaf's thread. There's a recent BC Provincial Government programme aimed at relocating all Leafs fans out of the Province. Unless you want to see all this trash dumped in Alberta, Albertans need to get on board with this programme and make sure they are all relocated further east (preferably in Quebec!!!). Quote
Flytyer Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Leave the leaf trash where it is......Quebec doesn't want them either Quote
Guest RedWiggler Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I heard the Canucks won a game............is that true!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Jeffro Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Shhhh.....Red we don't want to jinx it Quote
Guest RedWiggler Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 lol, just ribbin you crazy nucks fans!! Sweet how they won the other night though, Matts in the shootout. Now Leafs fans we just plain feel sorry for you, its a good thing Toronto is the centre of the universe cause for being the 3rd worse team in the league they sure get alot of pub and airtime. That actually bugs me, HNIC/CBC needs to rework who they put on the air and who they higher to speak. Hate to say it but HNIC/CBC is totally going down the toilet!!!!!! Quote
Golfman09 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 I would agree with the comments on HNIC/CBC......Don Cherry is going senile (sp?) and is becoming more difficult to watch. The number of games that we are forced to watch Toronto and Ottawa is killing me....they are horrible besides the fact that there are several good Canadian boys playing for teams in the US that we don't get to see. I finally sprung for the centre ice package so I had some options outside of those tragic teams. Part of the problem lies in how they schedule the games but I guess you can't please everyone. Quote
Guest RedWiggler Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I used to love listening to Don Cherry but over the years he has said some of the dumbest things. I also believe that the game has passed him by, he is still living in the past, he talks about hockey like its still in the days of Bobby and Gordie. The game is so differant now that he cant sound smart talking about it. Thats my opinion and I still love Grapes (just keep your mouth shut......lol)!!!!!!!! Quote
bigalcal Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 As a Habs fan I will admit that Halak stole one tonite. It's about time a Habs goalie did that!! Quote
Golfman09 Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 As a Habs fan I will admit that Halak stole one tonite. It's about time a Habs goalie did that!! He played really well! He definately worked for that shutout. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 That was a really damn entertaining match tonight, by the looks of the nhl.com replays. Quote
Golfman09 Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 The Tampa Game was one of the most boring games I've seen in a long time. Can't believe I stayed awake through the whole thing. I'm guessing Columbus tonight will be a little more energetic. Quote
Jeffro Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Didn't get to see the game, but it's another notch in the win column and a 4 point game to boot Glad to see things are on the upswing.....now lets just hope it stays that way Quote
