DonAndersen Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Wedding anniversary. Like a stupid dumb kid, I got married on June 12. Right smack in the middle of both the green and brown drake hatches. Took years to get it moved to February. catch ya' Don Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Gotta pay your dues to the Beaver Dam tree before the fishing really picks up... i've payed my dues in phones and flies, and about 30 pairs of pliers Quote
Taco Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 2 engines, 4 trannies and/or transfer cases, about 6 clutches, enumerable driveshafts and ujoints and 1 '72 K5 Jimmie...... Marriages I sacrified to the Huntin' Gods Quote
snakeman Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 One cell phone, random things like indicators and pliers falling out of pockets, and a box full of streamers (that was the worst). Oh and if this counts: a 97 saturn station wagon, on Highway 532 on the way to the Livingstone. Quote
Suntoucher Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 A cracked transmission on the way to get to that "secret spot" deep in the FTR Quote
nick Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 old girlfriend lucky fishing coins my first rod (on my first attempted cast, too) a whole box of dry flies on the bow My soul Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I'd have to agree, definitly a girlfriend, friendships, jobs (not that it hasnt helped either). I've blown out my shoulder numerous times, and im sure the little soldier count is down from wetwading the oldman and livingstone for years apon years. Many boxes, too many flies to count. rods after rods. golfing hit the dirt...pretty much everything that isn't fishing related, isn't doing so well... Quote
Glenbow Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Cell phone & a zillion flies. And many pliers. Probably some other things that hardly matter. Made lots of friends though & been to lots of cool places and that rocks. Quote
admin Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Pliers, flies and my dignity on a couple dunking incidents. Quote
Pythagoras Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Camera, reel, a buddies rod, flies. Fishhead, next time you go out I'm gonna follow behind you to pick up the goodies! Quote
Saltamontes Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Sunglasses, gosh, I seem to loose a couple of pairs every year. Quote
reevesr1 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Multiple cell phones drowned (4 I think) Multiple camera's drowned (2 or 3) 1 car remote 1 wallet (water skiing when I was 18) 2 pairs of glasses: One when slapped in the face by a big wave fishing in the surf. Caught the fish though. Driving home in the dark was sort of a bitch. One when I jumped in the Bow after my son because I stupidly tried to cross with him in a side channel and he got swept down. My virginity 1 rod and reel (put it down, fish hit, bye bye rod) 4 or 5 nail knot tools, 3 flyboxes, who knows how many pliers and hemos (all this year) The virginity part isn't true, but I got your attention. SteveM Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 A few boats ago, I took a rather famous country singers honour, just above the cliffs of doom..Tasty!!!!!!!! Willie Nelson??? Quote
SilverDoctor Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 A great many flies to the tree gods, stone gods. Good Samaritan's flies give away. Also Forceps line straightener with zinger and a large wolley bugger carefully jammed into the head of a dog that wanted a piece of me. Quote
reevesr1 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 We all know you haven't lost it yet. Damn. That's why all my kids look like the cable repair guy. Always thought it was weird he came around so much, particularly since I had satellite. I did have a dream once about a certain famous country western singer and a boat...... Quote
