Taco Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 (edited) I do wish they would figure out what going on with Heninger Reservoir and put some in there but it looks like I may have to hit Reesor the next time I do a Cypress trip. Thanks for posting Edited April 24, 2019 by Taco correctin' grammar to redneck standards 1 Quote
Taco Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 But I wouldn't call a bucket item but I have caught a damned rare tiger back a few yrs ago. A wild stream caught tiger trout in a stream that supposedly has no brown trout in the upper reaches. 2 Quote
DonAndersen Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Taco, That is one rare critter. As far as I know only two have been captured in Alberta. Both by biologists. Lucky guy. Don Quote

snuffy Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I've never heard of it winterkilling, but ever since they Rotenoned it a decade or so ago it's been nothing but tiny trout and huge suckers. I think the idea is that the Tigers will eat the later. Quote
WayneM Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 My first fish on the fly was a tiger there this spring. Little feller but I was excited just the same. Quote
Jayhad Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 I've fished tigers in Duck mountain park, they are incredible sport fish. I hope our tiger fishery can be half of Manitobas, if so I'd call it a win. Quote

With luck by spring they will be a lot larger. Anyone have a clue what their growth rate is like? Quote
MMAX Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 After a move 3 years ago to the "Great White North", I fish a lake 2 1/2 hrs away that contains them. You think bull trout have big mouths? Catch a pig of a tiger and you'd be suprised. Quote
