So my wife and I totally whimped out on camping this weekend, and decided to cook our dutch oven recipes at home.

Lemon Rosemary Chicken:

And Pumpkin crumble cake:

They were both AWESOME but would have been wayyyyy better camping...

Yeah, yeah, I know.... We suck!

I didn't wimp out, I headed northeast in search of some exotics. Slept in Hotel Grand Cherokee and it was cold, -1C, had to start to jeep every hour or so. In retrospect, I should'a stayed home like you.

Probably the right choice as far as the weather goes.... unfortunately, poor choice of words for your subject line. I'm sure you could do better.

That looks pretty awesome! Had we been in tents, we likely woulda packed it in too. Managed a couple hours fishing yesterday. Caught one beautiful bow, to redeem the weekend. Incredible stonefly hatch on the lower Oldman below the dam last night. Twas very cool overnight (and previous too); furnace in our trailer saw more run time this weekend than previous 3 summers combined I think.

You're right! My appologies!

Was in K-country. Not that pleasant there either, but no snow at least in the lower elevations. On a bright note, did get a couple of big cutts in upper k.

May long weekend in Alberta. What do you expect.

Mass exodus of campers Sunday after the snowfall. They shoulda stayed, fishing was great.

I set up the "Cutty Hut" this past weekend. Pulled it up the FTR from Coleman the rainy Saturday. A few flakes of snow at Dutch Creek overnight Saturday but Racehorse got a few inches. It was pretty wet and cold for a few days but cleared up.

River levels are way below average
