bigbowtrout Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Had a great weekend with Troutlover, Rickr and his son NAFTA up in the BC hills. Weather was off and on but pretty darn good for this time of year. Fishing was awesome with lots of willing Cutts on the top and one hungry Bull. Have a nap and wait for the risers. (worked like a charm) This guy was messing with the cutties so I changed up to a streamer. Troutlover's Cutt from slabville The kid with his first fish on the dry ever!!! My digs Thanks for the great weekend guys Quote
Muffin Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Thanks for posting, looks like a great trip. Some really nice sized healthy fish there. Did it get pretty cold at night? Quote
bigbowtrout Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Did it get pretty cold at night? I was nice in warm in my tent and the other three had the heater on and 20 blankets. It rained every night off and on but the snow kept to the peaks. Quote
reevesr1 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Here are a few more: Check out the Poker Chip Jammies: Here are a few of my son Wyatt, who is now called NAFTA (Born in Canada, American and Canadian parents, works at Taco Time). For a kid who claims "not to like fishing all that much", it sure looks like he had some fun: At the "Perfect Cutty Run" Wyatt's big fish of the trip: At the "Conveyor Belt" Getting some dry lessons from BBT: BBT working the sticks in "The Perfect Cutty Run" My biggest fish of the trip, and the only one with any hook damage of the many fish I caught: The trip was as good as it gets. I'll repeat myself from an earlier post. Of all the laughs I had, the funniest thing I heard was my son saying the following to his mother once we hit civilization and the phones worked. "Chris caught a ton of fish, so did Jared. Dad caught some fish too." Pretty much sums it up. I can't believe how lucky I am to be able to fish with such good friends, and such a good family. 1 Quote
Muffin Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Haha Rick, I think kids hate anything when it involves parents at that age.... even if they don't. Again some very nice fish, glad to see everyone had a good time. Quote
SteveM Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Great stuff, guys! Looks like y'all had a fun trip. Lovin' the jammies, Jared... Quote

Its a horse. some outfitter was camped across from us and he had about 7 horses and each horse was wearing a bell. Glad they moved out the second night. Quote
Swede Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Wow hopefully I find that stream someday, wicked. Quote
reevesr1 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 GrnDrake, I don't! Wow hopefully I find that stream someday, wicked. Whether you find it or not (and the selfish part of me hopes not!!), the process of looking will get you into a lot of fish, and some amazing country. Quote
jasonvilly Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 You sure do find some fine looking fish and spots Rick. Good on you for exploring and finding a new jem. I hope no one finds it as well, unless they put the effort into looking for it themselves. Great pictures, sure looks like it was cold out, and lots of snow in those mountains already. Hope you guys brought some fireball to keep ya warm. Quote
