Nice flies Mitch. Something about that second one I really like.

I've been tying a lot of big bright streamers for 'nooks lately including string leeches. Decided to try making a MOAL/string leech for trout...

Rick

When I get the white ones done I will post a photo of them too. Pretty easy tie and I find one of the most productive fly on the bow.

Could you post a couple of photo's of these.

Kind of intrested in seeing how you went about things.

Wanna learn how to tie some classic wet's but I don't tie what I don't fish......

Black Ghost 5 ways

1. Standard long shank

2. Tandem rear riding up (Spider Wire)

3. Tube w/ octopus hook

4. Tandem traditional (Extreme Tippet RIO)

5. Waddinton shank w/ double up (Wire tippet)

That is basically the range I'll tie these in. Each has their good and bad points, but the one I like to fish best is the Waddington. The wire tippet is a bit stiff, but the Spiderwire or Fire line is nice. These have taken some nice trout in Alberta lakes and I know SJW has fished with them a bunch on the Bow, so they will work.

Yeah, that way is much easier. Thanks!

Check the archives in Phil Rowley's new web site and you should be able to find his MOAL leech step by step. It is a good one, well done.

I must really start tying again as the season has taken a toll on my boxes.

Lately I found myself more and more swinging flies for trout and grayling with the doublehander.

To my surprise they tend to have a liking for sized down salmon flies.

This winter I will be tying some tubeflies and try those.

Awesome looking fly! May I ask what size salmon hooks work well with trout?

Kyle,

really like your ties, keep it up they look great.

Once I find my battery charger for my camera and charge up my battery I will take some photo's of the flies I have tied over the last two months (and there are alot of them) and post them for people to see.

Nothing special with my ties these are just flies that I use all the time on the bow.
