  1. My favorite Ottolite is the flip up type that Micheals has. Seems to fit perfectly above my vice.
  2. Another vote for Ott lamp, I have 2.
  3. That's where a fishfinder comes i handy.
  4. Fishing just below your position on the run or pool close enough to encroach on your direction, stocking space and direction of movement upstream or down. Very disrespectful. It becomes a multiple problem with putting down rising fish and also playing and netting. I've experienced it a few times after I hooked a trout having people crowd in and even guides not respecting my space in favor of their clients. 90% of people I find are very polite when fishing.
  5. Do what makes sense financially?
  6. I use nymphs and an indicators on the big lakes, cornies work also. I've also had good luck with a deep sinking line and small micro buggers.
  7. Wonderful pictures Don.
  8. Lots of control with a full sink, like all things it take practice. Love it for deep holes.
  9. Go for the Cortland 333, classic line.
  10. Don't be silly he's obviously building one for each foot. That's great model, can't wait to see the final, thanks for posting.
  11. Most of my flies are on Mustads although there are a lot of other brands I use such as Alec Jackson, Owner and Daiichi for tying specific patterns.
  12. I use an image hosting site (photobucket). then just link to it to show the image.
  13. Well after working for an corporation for the last number of years doing their marketing, ads, web, social media etc. and building their business substantially. Taking no holidays because of the volume of work. The young more money than brains owners son gets rid of me in favor of an ad agency who has been winning and dining him with free ski trips etc. Decided to do freelance consulting instead and control my own destiny, a lot of companies no longer seem to stand behind their staff like they did.
  14. x2
  15. Its a good one, a nice cross between Caddis and Klinkhammer
  16. After trying to remember to lift or not to lift or strike hard or soft or various line positions and hand positions. Just go out and fish and have fun. More time with a rod in you hand and water in front of you will mean more solid hookups.
  17. I also love my korkers, the regular studded and my own addition here.
  18. Have a great Birthday and make it your day.
  19. Remember that insect life will change sometimes dramatically depending on the depth of water and bottom structure.
  20. Those are fun thanks for posting.
  21. I like wool gloves, used them for 30 years, have a pair without fingers that suit me, nice thing about wool is it stays warm even if wet. Good idea also is to keep an extra pair of dry gloves handy in your pack and pocket warmers. Goes a long way to having a more comfortable day. Tried some of the hi tec ones but still love good old wool.
  22. It's on the back of your fishing license but speed dial is the way to go.
  23. Loop does make a good product
