    Only $3!

  2. I've always wondered why if people fish up and catch fish they then turn around and do the same thing to the same fish...maybe I'm missing something...
  3. Make sure you lock your bike very securly and maybe remove your tire! My bike was stolen yesterday right out front of my office, in front of security and security cameras!
  4. Regardless of where you fish, if it runs through private land always go and ask first. I have yet to have a problem if I do that. If they aren't home, go fish a different area and come back another time. This whole thing probably could have been avoided if you had done that.
  5. I just came across this and thought some of you may be interested... Haven't watched it too long, but have seen some decent deals. http://www.dealsonthefly.com/
  6. I haven't tried the new TXL's, but the older ones I found too soft for me. Have a few friends who hate my ZXL's but love their TXL's though...
  7. Sage ZXL seems to fit what you are looking for as well. I have a 8' and 7'6" 4 wt that I use for the situations you want to.
  8. I was much the same as everyone here and never really gave it much thought...but that has since changed. If you've ever been to NZ, and see the devastating effects that Didymo causes I think you may think twice about not washing your gear. As fisherman we have a responsibility to protect the waters we enjoy not only for ourselves but for all recreational users.
  9. I bought the t1i because it has a smaller body than the other ones and is a little easier to lug around. I buy most of my stuff at Saneal just for convenience...not a huge fan of the store though.
  10. Check this league out: http://www.cmhahockey.com/sites/3333/page....age=news_league I'm not sure how competitive you are wanting, but my team is in Div 1 and the level of play is excellent. I would say that this division has player's who played anywhere from Junior B to college.
  11. Ahhh yes. Good call. I forgot about that, it's still under a year. Thanks Chris.
  12. Thanks guys. I will try to use a snake and be as careful as possible. Mitch
  13. I'm looking for some advice... I came downstairs to check on my laundry and found that my drainage pipe was clogged for my washing machine and the water was backing up all over my floor. I thought it would be an easy fix, but after doing a bit of research I read that using a snake is a quick fix and will only poke a hole in the clog, and that it will be a reoccuring problem and to avoid using chemicals. Does anyone have any other suggestions without calling in a plumber, or should I go buy a snake and give that a go? Thanks, Mitch
  14. You caught it already...so it was eating what you were using?? Seems logical to me.

Haha - too funny Dave. You were being very generous that day and did let me have a go...too bad you forgot to teach me how to cast that day! It was a little over the top to get to, but it sure was a fun day. Hopefully you guys can sneak in a few more fish before you make the trip back to AB.

I'll say that it was Dave's fish and it wasn't caught...

Thanks guys. That 1st pic was a spring creek Dave, Amelia and I stumbled upon trying to get to a different creek. There was a fish anywhere in the 5-8lb range every 50 yards. It was pretty incredible.

I made a trip to NZ over the holidays for 5 weeks. The weather proved to be a challenge for most of the trip as it poured rain for most of the time, and I was constantly on the move to stay ahead of it. I was fortunate enough to meet up with Dave and Amelia Jensen quite a bit and they helped me out immensely. The last 1.5 weeks I got the weather I was hoping for the whole time and was able to fish some waters I had wanted to. I caught some nice fish and had a great time. Here are some pics from my trip.
  19. And you tend to always add more fuel to the fire by useless posts like these! :$*%&:
