    Few Spring Pics...

  2. We no longer have to listen to Marc Crawford!! Next on the list is for TSN to get rid of Pierre...
  3. I just load them into a couple of plano boxes. I carry a back pack so their big size (the boxes) is not an issue for me.
  4. Sweet! Nice fish!
  5. Whatever, neighbour...
  6. Thanks guys. I was able to go talk to a few home owners who have recently built with them, no complaints whatsoever, so good news. Thanks again.
  7. Some nice PR there BRT...
  8. Ditto. Definately not a net fish...
  9. I am looking at building with Sabal Homes and I am just wondering if anyone has dealt with them at all, and whether or not you were satisfied with the end result? Any hiccups through the process? Thanks in advance!
  10. They don't call coaches coaches for no reason...they do coach. They put together systems, decide on how the pp and pk should be played, put together lines, match lines with other teams lines, etc. To think that they just are there to motivate their players is short sighted. A determining factor with any team, sports related or not, is to have cohesion as a whole. You need everyone to believe in what your goals are and how to accomplish them. Yes, a good portion of doing that is having a coach who can motivate your players to believe in them. Some teams just don't have unity in them either, with cliques forming and what not, and no matter what coach you have behind the bench if the players aren't willing to work for their teammates all hope is lost. You take Chicago for example, they are all young, all growing up together, and are willing to fight next to the guy sitting next to them. Have to agree with Robert, hard to motivate someone to play when they are making millions. But on the other hand, they wouldn't have gotten to where they are at if they didn't love the game to begin with...if they don't love the game they should hang up their skates...
  11. Nice pike Brian! Drew - When I fished Badger last year it took me a lot to decipher whether or not I was getting hits. Every so often it just felt like the slightest, and I mean barely noticable, hang up on weeds and I just continued retrieving. Then I started to set the hook on those and it produced a pike every time. Keep at it, and good luck!
  12. have a good one dude!!
  13. I just went through the same dilemma...I went with the ZXL. Haven't fished it yet, but liked the idea of it being a little slower like you said for the type of fishing I plan on using it for.
  14. If you plan on using this in Alberta you may as well just publicly say that you are breaking the law...no point in saying you're experimenting. In my humble opinion...
  15. How would you classify your client's skill level in general, and how much would they have they fished prior to being guided when you noticed this? I imagine a casual angler would/might exhibit this, but more experienced angler who fishes a lot it would probably not make a difference at all. So maybe the landing ratios were just related to their skill level?
  16. Gave myself a heart attack last summer fishing a lake in BC...couple otters appeared and didn't think much of it so I continued fishing and let my fly get down to the right depth, started stripping in back in and one of them took my clouser. Fought it breifly until it chewed through my leader, not sure what I would have done if I attempted to land the thing.
  17. i've heard that bouque will most likely be back. Langkow prob wont, and conroy will most likely be a game time decision. basically 48 hrs to go though, so status' will probably change...let ya know if I hear anything
  18. we teach the americans how to play hockey, then they try and steal our thunder...and try to eliminate every Canadian team from the playoffs.... seems kind of like a theme to me with the US' relationship with everyone... just joking of course.....

    Midge Emerger

I haven't furled stretch floss before, but what I do when making fulred flies is tie one end on top of the hook and spin the material, and continue to do what Terry does. It may help eliminate that step that Terry finds hard to stop the segment from unwrapping.
  20. Want to add what Teck suggested. I personally would start with a ~15 foot cast. Depending on the chosen fishing method, but 90% of the time you shouldn't have to cast further than 5o feet, hell even 20 feet. Its all about being quiet and taking your time approaching the fish/water. Most people just think they need to jump into the water and work water further out, when in reality you just stepped on 70% of the fish in that run.
