More practice on release pictures. First two are the same fish and last three are a different fish.

Iron Bow is a Smith dealer if you'd rather deal with a fly shop.

Bull Trout In The Bow River

They aren't common but there are some around. -
Heh, I haven't fished the Bow since May.

I love Stampede so much I went to the mountains. Trying to work more on release and underwater shots.

This. After a break off, check your tippet. If there's a bit of curl then it's probably your knot but if it's straight then it was probably a knick. Good idea to re-tie every so often. The fish that spit the hook are tough to explain how to fight. Some people will tell you side pressure, some will tell you to bow to the fish when it jumps, and things like that but then you'll get other people tell you the exact opposite. I think I learned what worked best for me over time. And sometimes no matter what you do the fish is going to win, but that's what makes you come back for more.

Easiest Way For Photo Posting

There's something like a 250kb size limit. If everyone was hosting their full-sized pics on the forum they'd probably overrun their disk space allotment from their hosting pretty fast. https://www.lifewire.com/free-image-hosting-sites-3486329 -
If they had called it "Existing Bow River Boat Launch Improvement Plan" it would've made more sense.

Flickr is part of Yahoo and was just acquired by Verizon. I'd wait to see how that plays out before throwing all my eggs into the Flickr basket. I've been a Flickr Pro user for years so I'm nervously keeping an eye on it to see what happens. -
Went fishing. Took pictures.

Wouldn't regular hiking gaiters from MEC work as well? Or would they be too small to fit over waders?

Join the Bow River Chapter of Trout Unlimited in another step in restoring the riparian environment of Legacy Island. On June 17 we will be hand pulling leafy spurge throughout the island, in an attempt to gain control over this noxious weed. Spurge is spreading throughout the Bow River valley and once established, is very hard to control without heavy herbicide use. We are going to attempt to remove this year’s crop before it goes to seed, to gain some control over the spread. We may also remove burdock and black henbane if we have time. In addition to weed pulling, we have about 80 poplar seedlings to plant, and several hundred more recently planted poplars to water. Sign up at the link below! https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/legacy-island-restoration-tickets-35335413172

Or someone else found it... -
Not everyone who wears Simms joined the cult and drank the Kool Aid. Sometimes you just find something that works for you and stick with it. Now if this were an American forum people would probably be losing it because you're wearing waders that weren't made in 'Murica

I've had a pair of G4Zs going on 4 or 5 years now (long enough that I can't remember exactly when I bought them). Way more days on the water per year than I can count and 99% walk and wade. Bow, spring creeks, and mountain streams so a fair amount of bushwacking. No leaks, no tears, though the gravel guards are looking a little worse for wear. Having said that, this spring I bought a pair of Patagonia Rio Gallegos as my "no WD waders" and I like them better than the Simms for fit, features, and comfort. Can't speak to durability on them yet, but they were a couple hundred bucks less than comparable Simms.

Talked to a F&W officer on the Bow yesterday. He said they're working on a RAP app for your cell phone and also being able to receive text messages. The text message part will be great if you're in an area with no cell service but have an InReach or Spot that allows you to send texts via satellite.

I can provide you with secure fishing spot storage. PM all the GPS coordinates to me and I will keep them safe. -
Bots... What Are They Looking For?
BurningChrome replied to ÜberFly's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Probably a few different types. I'd guess there are some from other search engines and things like the internet archive. Probably also lots of malicious bots looking for PHP vulnerabilities in the forum software so they can either spam the forum or use it to host malcode. At the last company I worked for (AV software) we used to have crawlers that would look for malcode being hosted on different sites. All those things are going to show up as Guest users. -
Bit o this, bit o that.

I don't disagree with you, but I think the proper approach to take is act like everything is clean until it's been confirmed infected by CFIA. -
Wild Rose Release Plan For Ab Fisheries

I took it as a reference to restoring OHV use in the Castle for people too lazy to walk to fishing spots. -
Not sure which specific extension it might be, but there are some security extensions that can disable embedded videos. If you didn't install any extensions like that then that's not it. Also guessing that if you actually go to Youtube you can watch videos no problem? I'd start by deleting any Youtube cookies from Safari. Maybe clear your cache as well. Those are pretty much my first two steps in fixing any browser issues and they work 99% of the time especially when it's something that used to work and suddenly stopped. If those don't work another good one to try is the first aid thing from the disk utility. Should be a repair permissions option. Actually, do that anyways. It's unreal how many broken things that can fix on a Mac and even help resolve a few random errors or slowdowns.
