  1. I was on the Fraser Salmon fishing Pink, Chinooks, and Chum, when I was treated to a Steally, what a treat. Buddy was right, not looking for one, and Bingo, there it is. Love it, but I love our Bow bows ( who I have been led to believe have a strain of stealhead in them. Correct me if I am wrong.
  2. Very Nice, The fish too, great pics
  3. I can not help legally, but if I may suggest, I would electrify the fence on that neighbors side. Have a good weekend.
  4. Thx Tungsten, great tip on the trailering. The govt plate is gone, with the serial #, any idea if the boat may have another # elsewhere like on a car? Hopefully with no plate, registering the boat will not be a problem.I recall it is a welded aluminum. Any more feedback is welcome.
  5. Nice fish and good water clarity. Where did you go?
  6. I see a couple of older aluminun jon boats for sale. Aside from leaks or being beaten up to bad, what should my main concerns be, if I was to purchase one? One of them is long and wide enough, with deep walls that I would be comfortable taking it on a lake,(if windy or otherwise), as compared to the smaller lower wall jon. Any input would be appreciated.Thx Paul
  7. Damn right on Jerry, Harry, he is the best, especially for classic high perf, but good on anything.
  8. Jerry McDade in ph book North Glenmore,Great mechanic, Honest and fair rates.
  9. If you disagree with the final decision of your insurance co, you have the right to appeal the decision FYI. Hopefully you have replacement cost insurance. I also see you are in SW Calgary, which parts of got beaten up in the 2010 hail storms, so look for hail damage on your shingles as well. Hopefully the shingles aren't too old. Good Luck with that. PL
  10. Not quite inner city, but Moores near glenmore and Blackfoot, I made lots of calls and there price is good.
  11. See, it's happening! It was only a matter of time, you renegades
  12. I know it is lifted, but it was not when I was thinking of the prior conditions. If not much rain this weekend, I will try it. Thx though
  13. On thinking about it, I can believe that. I was almost swamped by a big inboard jet flying out on the main leg of the river from the first launch at Carseland in my jon. He came around a blind spot not knowing if anyone was there. Oddly he thought I was waving at him and waved back, but it was not a wave so to speak.
  14. I saw that once a few years ago. I have also been checked by a CO on a jet ski. The gun on the wet suit gave him away, Ha Ha
  15. I have seen jets in the city once or twice since the new laws, but was told when calling it in, they are doing a study or city work, and have a permit. I am sure the odd one is just a goof who knows no better. BTW don't props mud up the shore too?
  16. You cant fish the Bow when there is a ban on it. There suckas in the Bow too
  17. I think the rope is now raised a few feet. It is law in the city to have to wear a pfd, but thru that water, it is a must. I considered 1 person w me, likely at the back.
  18. As we may loose June again to the run off, I may need to do still water. If the schedule allows for a full day, there are several waters to try, ie Crawling V, Magregor(sp), Badger, but for limited time allowed, I cant think of still water very close by. Any suggestions?
  19. I have been led to believe since the Inglewood Weir has been renovated, it is supposedly safe to drift through. Upon checking it out recently, I think I would be hesitant, to do so in a 14 ft jon. What do you FFC fishers think? Thx Paul
  20. no power prop or jets are allowed within city limits
  21. Insurance is like WCB in my mind, they have a license to rape. Cant live without them, and screwed if you do. I pay big time with a great driving record, and insure my home well with only a couple of claims over many years. I would like to tell them to take a flying f--- at a rolling donut, but you piss them off and they can drop you like a hot potato. I do suggest though to shop around, and when you find a co. that is half assed good stay with them, as after a while you get long term, no claim, and seniors discounts. A broker is a good agent to call as they will shop it around. Dont lie to ins as they can put it to you if they find out, and if you are flagged, you will pay in the long run. I go with Inta--. You can figure that one out. Good Luck I have to say, I know a lot of nice peop;e in the industry, but the rules they work under are not so nice.
