  1. So I'm looking at buying a new car for the wife (and family trips on the Hwy). I've narrowed it down to these two choices. What are your thoughts. Both are great cars and have great ratings, fuel effic., resale, etc. Civic looks a little more classy, but Corolla is cheaper by a few thousand. Done the research, but what are your thoughts.
  2. Never seen this on the softwear. Where abouts is it?
  3. Only seen Bulls rising once for dries, and that was on the Wigwam. Have got some nice ones on dries (16-20'') on dries in other creeks in the South, but that's a rarity.
  4. Awesome, thanks guys
  5. So, after I download all the pics, is there anyway to delete all the pictures off the camera at once? Right now, I'm doing it one at a time on the camera but there has to be a quicker way.
  6. I'm a firm believer in that Bert was just going with the 'hockey mentality' at the time, and the one he was raised with. I feel that over 20% of the players in the league would have gone after Moore and given him a cheap shot in retaliation and Bert just got 'unlucky'. Too much focus on the outcome (and vilifying Bert for it) than looking at the symptoms and realising that what he did is what he was taught to do and that so many others would have done something similar. Also not sure why Sutter is a God in Calgary. He's my least favourite Flame, GM and would like the team a whole lot more if he is gone.
  7. Great stuff as usual...that's a gorgeous lake
  8. I've had boobies in my box for over 5 years, and can count the number of fish on one hand that I've caught with them. Now I can't really blame the fly that much either as I rarely use them. I've just never seen them outfish anything else I'm using, and I'm also more into the indicator fishing the last few years. (the only time I have seen boobies to be really effective is in those BC lakes with marl bottoms where you just cast it out with a high D line, and then give it a twitch when a fish cruises by) Seen the blob around the net, but have yet to tie one up and fish it...again, would have to take that damn bobber off my line to give it a shot and I'm just too lazy
  9. Nice pics...BH was great today...had the girls out in the boat for a few hours and they outfished everyone around them Caddis are out and about in FULL FORCE!
  10. Forgot about the Kamloops Merritt area...even though we always spent the night there and hit some fly shops in the morning. That's definitely where I would stop and fish.
  11. I"ve done this drive a few times and never find anything really interesting (would have to be 'really' interesting too as I've always had the wife and kids) Your best bet may be around chillowack (sp?)
  12. lake fishing where I don't move much...back pack. Rivers is definitely belly bag, or put everything in one box and my front wader pouch. I'm a minimalist when I'm on the move.
  13. phenomenal stuff!
  14. We tried a few other spots on the South side of the lake, but decided the wind wasn't just worth the battle. Fishing was steady where we started, so we just went back. Weeds are starting to come up, but not an issue yet. Give it a week and you'll really start to notice them.
  15. That's hilarious...as I'm replying to Rick's first post...both Toolman and Rick beat me to the reply with even some of the same pics
  16. Had a great weekend! Would do that again any day. Couple pics. Betting money that this is the first BH trout caught on the spey rod...and definitely wasn't the last Double header When are we doing this again!
  17. Good to hear... ...but I thought you liked catching boots Monger...they take great pictures
  18. Well when you wear a blue shirt, what do you expect So where is the famous blue sweater right now?
  19. yup that's it...it's starting to be chronie season
  20. Way to go Bree...sooner or later you'll bump into my girl there (Nature Girl...she's 7). She was out Monday but didn't stay too long cause all she was catching was the little stockers when she wanted the BIG fish.
  21. For me, I would stick with Ouctact or Scadden...highest quality in my opinion. For size wise...it depends on usage. 8' is minimum for rivers I feel, and a 10' can also be too much to control for some. If I was getting a new boat for rivers (Bow) and lakes, I would get an Outcast PAC series in 9', or a 9' Scadden with a casting platform.
  22. Bullshead. Electric motors only, and it's about 25 min south east from Medicine Hat.
  23. Nope, never caught anything in there that wasn't a rainbow. Could be an escape from the hatchery that caught a ride in the rainbow truck.
  24. I have a basically new 5 hp that I didn't use at all last year. Let me know if you're interested.
