  1. What a difference a week makes. Couldn't get a touch on a streamer; streamer was killin' it last couple trips. Nothin' but cutties this time around, all on dries. BTW, Vagabond, I carried 2 rods & waited until Taco was fishing before I strung 'em up. I like to give my buddy a head start, you see. I really am a nice fella; if you don't believe, ask me. Some pretty dark clouds rollin' through when we started... Cleared off quickly, though... They were few & far between... ...and, you had to get into some tight spots to coax 'em out. This one came from where the arrow is pointing- an 18" wide space between the tree trunks, with no choice but to yank him right out over as soon as he ate the fly! Just about time to call it a day. You can see our friend, Taco, in the bottom left corner of this shot... Le end! Good times, even if the fish had lockjaw. Next time, my friend. Next time...
  2. Sorry for the late reply; been awfully busy fishing instead of checking FFC. I use an Olympus Stylus 850SW point & shoot; then, I edit with PicMonkey to make 'em look the way I remember. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done!
  3. Same creek. Opening day... Today... So far, so good! :clapping:
  4. I will be getting off work at 7am; I think I might go fishing. Usually, I would go back to work at 11pm, but I've booked that shift off; it's almost like I think I won't get a chance to sleep that day...
  5. Sunday was a fun day! Dodged animals on Hwy 40 on the way to K-country. 9 deer, a dozen elk, and one grizzly on or near the highway right around dawn; that will keep you alert, let me tell ya! Only saw sheep in a couple spots on the way out in the early afternoon. Sure were a lot of people in K-country; had to come back to the city where it's less crowded! Anyway, it was worth it; got some o' these... Gratuitous flower pic for my pal, BC... Peace!
  6. Good stuff, Marc! Do trout eat hoppers? All this time I thought I was just using those big ol' foam abominations to hold my nymphs up off the bottom!
  7. Interesting story. Cops should have thrown the other POS back in the river, IMHO.
  8. It saddens me to report that Bigbowtrout's delightful film has been disqualified from competing in the category of"Best Out of Focus, New-Age, Short Film by a Complete ___ " (something something) . Apparently, it was brought to the Academy's attention that Bigbowtrout only has one testicle, thus making him an Incomplete___"(something something), and therefore ineligible to compete in that particular category. Wow! What a kick in the nut!
  9. Yeah, I should have just stuck to fish pics; showing yer mug done scared off any other potential bidders!
  10. No worries, Tex; I`ll pimp your trip for ya, pal. Here`s a few pics from a trip to that area with Rickr last fall...
  11. Gawdamn! Fantastic browns!
  12. Welcome back, Rob. Great shot of the li'l feller. Looking forward to some fish stories...
  13. You posted the same pic of a brown trout in day 2 & day 3 reports. I'm beginning to suspect you're making this whole thing up.
  14. Very sad to hear this! I never met Jeff, but we had a few conversations via PM over the years. Definitely seemed like one of the good ones; not surprised to read these awesome tributes to the man.
  15. Phenomenal series of shots, good sir! Every pic is excellent, but I really like the simplicity of the frosted trees against the blue sky.
  16. Nice find, Doc. That's some damn clear water!
  17. Great set of pics, Lornce! Love them colorful li'l S.O.B.'s!
  18. I actually caught another cutty twice on our second day. Ate a chenille worm in the morning in a nice little pool on a side channel. Got him to eat a dry in the evening on the shallow flat below the pool...
  19. I was looking at pics from that day & realized that your fish was exactly the same size as the one I caught. In fact, it was the exact same fish! Never suspected that, 'cuz they were caught in different pools a few hundred feet apart. See for yourself...
