No James I actually live in Calgary but have family in Fallen Timber, so I spend a fair amount stomping around the Little Red, and Fallen Timber Creek, that said I think I could go for a S. Ram trip this summer. Let me know I'm Game for it. bring in some of those minnows Teck

I hear ya Rick, the 30 ft merge lanes drive me nuts, and the fact the lights have no sync. oh and people the left lane in FOR PASSING. but I won't be going back to Ontario for more than a visit in my life time.
-
I have no problem with Calgary but then again I have learned to drive in Toronto. if you think Edmonton or Calgary is bad traffic, try the Don Valley Parkway at 4:00pm. it not dangerous or anything, mainly because you don't f**kin move.
-
James. you must be thinking somewhere else. Honest guys ain't nothing bigger than a fry north of Calgary, Right James.

Not to worried about it, the difference will not be huge for me till I clean up my cast any how. Maybe in the future but for now I'll stick with the mid range lines. you don't learn to drive in an Enzo if you know what I mean Teck

Us in Ontario use the black flies to keep outsiders from the best spots. usssually it goes the more Black flies or the bigger the flies the better the fish. right up until you get north of Moosonee where the Moose flies can carry off a family of 4, but the Muskie are huge great Pics I'll have to drive back to the County some so I can stop to fish all the little rivers though the Shield.

I have been fishing here for a year, and fishing in Ontario before that. I have had a licence since I was 16 and am 37 now so that is 21 years, spent atleast 1-2 days a week on the water, and have been asked once if I had my licence once. When the OPP came alongside for an Safty equipment check, and ask to see it but when I reached in the tackle box they waved it off unhitched and went on their way. So Been asked once out of 21yrs but never had to produce it. Kind of worriesome really. I just must look that honest. Teck

Well put Don, and the government has to stop looking a envoirmental issue in 4 year stints and focus on the long term as well.

Hey LS Hope the trip was good, I was thinking that but I have a previous engagment on Wednesdays that I cannot break. So hook and hackle is out, for every other Wed might be able to make a 1 a month depending on where they land. for now I'll start simple and work up. Thanks for the advice all, I have started with the 2 nymphs that I use most (other than SJW) the copper john and the Hares ear, and the third the Elk Hair Caddis. got the CJ and Hares ear going good, but the EHC still looks like my Cat up chucked a hair ball on a hook half the time. ouch! Yak ya had to go to the carnal pleasures with a cow route. is that why Alberta beef is so tender, before it goes to market it takes a good pounding and at lunch time no less,

I think raising rates accross the board, would be the best solution. hit everyone so that one group does not get hit more.

I have lost this year 2 cameras 1 cell phone. lifelime adds 2 more cameras (note water proof or not it is lost if kicked off the deck of a Bass boat in to the depths of the St. lawerence or Bay of Quinte) 1 more cell (real old one probably can be recognized with a depth finder) 1 wedding Band (still haven't heard the end of that little misstake, seems to be brought up in every argument we have..... something like this..... you didn't do the dishes, and you lost your wedding band) I don't know how many packs of smokes and lighters Teck -
Truth there the proper order should be Scotch and a glass, no Ice takes up liquor room. that is the first few but eventually you can go without the glass, depending if there is ladies present. then the glass just gets bigger. Teck

Thats a big If. I would more believe that the CN Tower was sold to Jenna Jamieson as her new toy. Toronto is Stubborn that way with their big players.

Agreed I'm all for a raise in licence as long as it means that the fishery is better protected, meaning more CO's (really po's me that I have had a Licence both here and in Ontario since I was 16 and have never been asked to produce it), tougher legislation, and more research money determine how to better protect our Waters. But not if it means that some fat assed politician get to take an extra week in mexico on my dime. I mean I have only ever seen 1 CO up at the Bergen store, we chatted a bit but I have never seen one while I was Fishing. makes you wonder how many people spend years poaching to finally get caught only for it to be their 1st offence and given a slap on the wrist
