  6. No I'm not, I enjoy shots of awesome browns just like every one else. Sorry SWJ, it was a joke in poor taste and I apologize for that.
  7. Nice browns, caught downstream of a city drainage?
  8. Hey Jay I talked with you about floating the Red Deer at the fly fishing expo. If you and a buddy want to float it let me know, my wife will shuttle us. I'll try and get you guys into a few of the browns.
  9. Definitly going in my favorites list, awesome stuff thanks for sharing.
  10. Wow totally awesome pictures Roach. That fish looks like it has whirling disease, freaky foresure.
  11. Had a great day on the Red Deer yesterday, despite getting poured on from 8 p.m. untill 1 in the morning. Water clarity was excellent. Had lots of hookups with Walleye, Goldeye and even Whitefish. Wasn't enough hatching to get the browns looking up, so I ended up fishing a black leech with pretty good results. Hooked into this nice brown in about a foot of water. Nice length but kinda lean. About an hour later, had a solid hook up with the biggest brown I have tangled with yet. Unfortunately the hook popped out of his mouth when he gave us a good thrashing on the surface. Unbelievable 30" for sure but who knows. Anyways I know where he lives now... Thought I would introduce my friend to fishing and he is hooked now.
  12. Awesome shots Max. Love the frankenstein rainbow, looks like someone drove a old screw right in its gill plate.
  13. Classic example of how bad parenting skills can screw your kids up for the rest of thier lives. As far as child molestation goes , well thats between him and god now isnt it.

Excellent flies guys, great timing too, I am headed to Muir lake tomorrow. Going to try tying a few like Doc's should work great.
  16. Nice fly , will tie some up and give them a try. Was wondering if anyone has tryed a solid white stonefly nymph. If so any success?
  17. Stocked or not thats one awesome looking rainbow
  18. Some nice fish there forsure.
  19. Floated the Bow on Wednesday with Mike aka (Tungsten) and had an awesome day! Wanted to thank Mike again for joining us, it was a great day of fishing! Nymphing was the ticket for us. Mike was nice enough to let me try out his sage, and wouldn't you know it I hooked into a decent sized Rainbow that took me almost into his backing before it broke off. Man what a power house. Anybody know a way to convince your wife that we absolutely need 2 new Sage fly rods? Here's a few pics. Pretty nice Brown for the wife's second fish to hand and a few more to follow. Nicest of the day! One of the many fish landed by Mike throughout the day.
  20. Incredible photos, thanks for sharing.
  21. You kids get along now you hear. I think whats important here is Jay learned from his experience. All put money on it that as soon as he picked that net up the first thought that went through his head was,"Dam wish i had a cradle." He took the steps to make a cradle and kudo's to him for it. Personally am a C&R fisherman and all start criticizing others as soon as i make it through a season without mishandling a few myself. If i want to get shocked by poor fish handling alls I have to do is watch a few of the pro fisherman on tv shows. Another great video Jay , grats on the huge gator.

  24. Alot of that footage is from the Red Deer River.
  25. I usually build up the tread at the head enough to cover that small gap in the eye. Not so bad on small hooks but i know ive lost a few fish from my leader cutting on that little gap when using larger patterns.
